Yest isn't an animal, it's a living culture which is why some people make the argument that vegans shouldn't eat yeast. Yeast doesn't possess a central nervous system, and it doesn't scream in pain, bleed, etc. I'm vegan and a carb-o-holic. I'm all for the bread.

Nefer--Cats cannot be vegetarians--they are obligate carnivores. It is very unhealthy for cats to be on a vegetarian diet. I am vegetarian and have investigated this for my animals. Dogs, however, can survive on a vegetarian diet better than cats.
