Vegetarian diet?!

Vegetarian diet?

hi ive been on atkins 3 mo now and havent lost 1 single pound, i only need ta lose 25 lbs, can i lose if i switch to vegetarian, not vegan, im tired of meat, i do turbo jam 6 days a week.

i m 5'1 and wanna be 100 lbs God Bless

The secret to getting all the nutrients you need from a vegetarian diet is get a variety of food. Eat as many different colored fruits and vegetables in a day as can and eat lots of whole grains. Whole wheat bread is not alway whole grain. It need to have bit of actually grain, not just whole wheat flour for it be whole grain.

If you like pasta make sure it's la denta (however you spell it) that means "to the tooth". If your pasta has a slight resistant to your tooth when you bite into it, it will act more like a whole grain in your system. If you over cook it then it's just paste and then it turns in the sugar really quickly.

Avoid sugar, and limit fake sugar in your diet too. Both can trigger binge eating.

You may also want to add an Omega Blend to you diet, either pills or oil, you could also use hemp or flax seed. If your diet gets too low fat when you vegetarian your body will resist shedding those last few pounds. If you make sure you are getting the good fats your body needs it will me more likely to shed those last few pounds.

Since you have been on Atkins you should consider getting a detox kit at your local health food store. There are a lot of them on the market that generally require lots of water and taking a few pills a day. They will suggest eating light, but you don't have to fast to detox and clean all that meat out your lower intestines.

Even if you skip the cleanse make sure you lots of water and at least 35 grams of fiber everyday. By getting 35 grams of fiber with adequate water you'll reduce your net calories for the day by 20%

Also keep in mild the #s on the scale aren't gospel. Remember muscle is good it gives boost to you metbolism and it weights more than fat. You might be perfect at 102 instead of 100, so don't push your body to be thinner than is healthy for you. Listen carefully to what your body is telling you. If you are hungry eat.

If your only reason for considering a veg*n diet is to lose weight, then it should remain a option for your intention, but I think it will be similar in effetiveness as the atkins diet. The difference between the two diets is the kind of calories your allowed to injest.

The one and only way the human body is capable of losing weight is to utelise more calories than you consume, on average. This formula can be applied to any diet, or lack of diet, in existence.

I am all for more people choosing a veg*n diet, and it will most likely assist you in losing weight, but I've seen countless cases where an omnivour with a balanced diet converted to veg*nism and created an unbalanced diet, and the pounds just piled on like brickwork.

The key to the success of any diet is to apply the food pyramid correctly, eat compatible, get sufficient enzymes and antioxidants, eat foods that contain certain amino acids at appropriate times of the day, particularly before doing certain activities, and lastly (most importantly) to drink LOTS of plain, clean, electrolyzed, positively alkaline, still water.

Being veg*n is the easiest, cheapest, simplest, and most fun way to achieve this. The choice is yours.

I am a vegy, and as soon as i became one i lost quite a bit of weight without even trying. It is easy, as if you like meat you can buy quorn dishes, and there are many other things such as honey and ginger stir fry, mushroom curry, pasta arribiata, etc etc that are lovely.

In every study that scientists preformed on vegetarians they have found that the vegetarians lost weight. I have lost 5 pounds and I've been a vegetarian for 3 months. I would have lost more if I hadn't packed on the sugar

When I became vegetarian, I dropped about 30 pounds. I think a vegetarian diet can help you lose some pounds. Doing turbo jam also help incredibly because I heard that it works very good when you are on a diet. I don't think 100lbs would be healthy for you height, and probably your age. I know for a fact, a 13 yr old weight suppose to be 115lbs, so i know that is not a good weight for you. How about 120? Also, being a vegetarian has many benefits including losing weight. But the main reason you go vegetarian is because of the animals you are not consuming. You are giving a stand against meat factories. Also, meat especially chickens can worsen your health(heart disease, high cholesterol, etc.) You can give it a try, but i recommend you go to this site....

Try the south beach diet

it works really well and it cuts out alot of meat.

Do the diet, also 100 lbs is a fine weight for your height(BMI is an extremly flawed system) personally I think you could you as low as 90lb(but not much more if any) good luck with your weight loss!
