Switching To Vegetarian Lifestyle (Need To Speak To Other Vegetarians)?!
Switching To Vegetarian Lifestyle (Need To Speak To Other Vegetarians)?
i was surfin the net, and i found this horrible, disgusting video about what they do to animals, and my heart broke, i literally started crying when i saw that evil man take that poor innocent pig, lay it on the ground & tie its feet together and take a cement block and hold it above its little head while it was squealing and let go. i cried so hard when i heard that pigs squeal of fear.
i want to become vegetarian, i want nothing to do with meat anymore, no ANIMAL should be treated like that just so i can have my #7 at mcdonalds, NO ANIMAL. i picture someone doing that to my pig alan (we used to have a pet pig named alan-but he died) or to my dog, or to my cat, and i just cant take it.
i need to talk to other vegetarians, to learn about the lifestyle, what i can eat & etc, if anyone has aim -or- hotmail, please leave your sign in ID name, or send me a message with it, i need to talk to someone.

It's very easy. I have been a veg. for a really long time. Just don't be one of those who eats certain kinds of meat, thats so annoying. Either you're veg. or you're not. I eat 7 layer burritos at taco bell, vegetable spring rolls and vegetable fried rice, veggie delite subs at subway (good with ranch dressing or spicy mustard), cheese pizza, pbj sandwiches, grilled cheese with tomato or vegetarian vegetable soup, manhattan grill from manhattan bagel, any kind of potatoes, pasta, stuff like that. Good luck and just remember that just because you're vegetarian doesnt mean you can't have the things you love, just leave the meat out of it. If you want a nachos bell grande, get the dang thing and just tell them to leave the meat off. Hope it helps!
well being a vegitarian is really easy im not a vegitarian but I dont have much money so I never get the chance to eat meat just eat candy and vegitables, smoothies, fruit, bread, vegan burgers are nice
It's fine becoming a veggie, but please do not be one of those that when you are invited to someone's home to eat you spew out a list of the things you WON'T eat. When you think children and babies are dying of hunger it shows depravity and decadence for someone to refuse food that is placed in front of them. Let's also think about the starving shall we.

Feel free to email me seiablue33@aol.com. i just returned to a vegetarian lifestyle after 10 yrs away. Another point to mention is rennet. It's taken from the stomach of cows, dried and added to most cheeses to coagulate. There are some companies that choose a vegetable rennet instead. One pizza company that uses vegetarian friendly cheese is Papa John's. It's great to know there are mainstream choices.
eating a vegetarian diet is easy. but keep it to yourself. politely turn down meat products when offered. newbie vegs, often times act ignorant and rude when discussing their diets. it's your business, keep it to yourself, unless someone asks, but don't preach.
check out peta.org for all sorts of info and other videos. alec baldwin's narration of "meet your meat" is a good one.
for a really easy switch to vegetarianism, try using morningstar products. they make mock meats and chicken which alot of people find easier to switch to when first giving up beef and chicken. check out some tofu recipes, there are probably a million different things you can do with tofu. it's the miracle food.
A really helpful website is www.peta.org. They will even send you a free vegetarian starter kit and there are lots of other awesome links there too.
its shocking how animals for food are treated. There are lots of other reasons to not eat meat, and this should help you lose your appetite for it. Meat is nasty! Animals are fed an unnatural diet, consisting of pesticide laden grains, brains and ground up organs of other dead animals, and are kept in such horrid unsanitary conditions, that they get all sorts of dieseases. They are given steroids, antibiotics, growth hormones, and other stuff. All of that passes into the meat, just like the B12 they are given. Meat has blood, pus, cholesterol, uric acid, urine, feces, all the disease the animal has, and all other sorts of crazy stuff. It just does not make sense when you look at it from that angle. Feel free to email me.
