Is there anything about Soy Butter that is bad for you?!

Question:

Is there anything about Soy Butter that is bad for you?

I have recently switched over to using Soy Butter spread and it really tastes great. Since it is soy I am not as self conscious about really spreading it on toast and using it for other cooking needs but I was wondering if it is bad for you in any way? There are a few of them out there but I am trying the Soy Garden which has no trans fat, non-dairy, no preservatives, and gluten free.

Here are the exact ingredients:
"NON-GMO INGREDIENTS: Expeller-Pressed Natural Oil Blend (soy, palm fruit and olive), filtered water, pure salt, natural flavor (derived from corn, no MSG, no alcohol, no gluten), crushed soybeans (defatted), soy lecithin, lactic acid (non-dairy, derived from sugar beets), natural annatto color."

To me that seems pretty healthy, but I was wondering if someone knows something I don't about those ingredients.

Answers:
No..it has no hydrogenated oil or trans fatty acids ..but as a caution all oils even olive change chemically when they are exceed certain temperatures..so if used in cooking Do not cook on high or burn .. I also think Earth's balance taste great ...

seems healthy to me. now i am going to buy some and try it.

I see no real issues with the ingredients, but want to caution you that many people who switch to a diet high in soy can easily develop allergies, so I would use it in moderation. When I became a veggie, I ate a lot of soy, and in turn became highly allergic to is and other foods. The fact that you are using non GMO is good-google roundup ready soy for reasons why

You might want to find out what the 'natural flavors' are, because sometimes even though the label says "no MSG" some 'natural flavors' derived from plant sources actually do contain MSG, which is very contradicting, one of the many loopholes in our food industry. (since MSG is made from some plants).

The one thing I can tell you...soy well exhaust your thyroid (small gland found in the neck, it is in charge of a great deal of your metabolism) if you over do it. If you are on synthroid
you will want to wait 4 hours between pills and any soy product. If not you should be fine as long as it isn't like the only thing you eat! (Iam a soy ADDICT! LOL)
