HELP ASAp!?
okkay
i just became a vegitarian and my parents dont support my choice ( i am 14)
Im walking to the store because i have to cook my own meals. What kind of microwave things should i get?
Answer ASAP
Answers:
get the kind without meat :-)
hmm...hot pockets with no meat like brocolli and cheese. Lasagna with no meat. Beans with no meat....uh.....you could make salads and fruit bowls too.
Depending on how much money you have to spend, you could buy veggie burgers and "chicken" nuggets from brands like Boca and Morningstar...You could also get frozen burritos without meat-just bean and cheese...Look for vegetable soups...But I really recommend the products from Boca and Morningstar....Good luck!!!
Dont buy too much microwave foods. If you are serious about your new found vegetarianism, you need to eat healthily.
I am a vegetarian (a vegan actually) and the only one in my house. I usually cook my own dinners, but I try and cook for the rest of the family too, because I wouldnt just demand my parents to cook extra food for me.
Congrats on making the choice to be a vegitarian.
Well if you can occasionaly use the stove try the morning star produces( they also work in the microwave). They are really good and are super easy to make. Or grap a big can of beans that you can add to the meal your parents are eating. Salads are easy to do and if you make the right size salad that can help fill you up. You can try camballes soup at hand.Hot PocketS.
There are pleant of options out there.
But why not talk to your parents again: here are some pointers:
1. Tell them why you choice to do this
2. Tell them you are willing to make stuff your self but whould like it if they could provide some food you will eat (understand that they dont want to cook 2 meals.
3. Ask for there suport
There is a company Sanitarium, who make excellent prepared low fat high nutrient vegetarian food. try them, they are all over the world though in the USA they go under a different name.
if ur goin vegetarian just be prepared for the results, it makes many people fat, and many guys would be dissapointed
the easiest thing to make is uncooked fruits and vegetables
you can just get some fruit and eat it for a meal, just eat alot of it, or eat alot of vegetables you can eat raw, like tomatos or celery, cucumber, that way you don't have to cook it
i eat those things everyday i'm 60
Learn to cook beside your mom or dad. Share in the vegetarian side dishes that they prepare, this would mean you only need to cook entrees.
There are a lot of easy to prepare entrees out there, but for health you should learn to start cooking.
Learn how to use tofu, seitan, and other meat substitutes (as we call them in the US). Learn to cook soups, and other dishes without substitutes. After a few weeks, offer to cook a meal for your parents so they understand you are serious.
Vegetarian food can be delicious, and if you are serious about your decision you will need to learn how to cook. No time like now to start learning.
Good Luck
