Do vegans eat cake?!

Question:

Do vegans eat cake?

I was wondering because vegans don't eat eggs, right? Well, there are eggs in cake, so, do they?

Answers:
Vegans can in fact eat cake. There are a bunch of different things that can be used as egg substitutes. The one that comes to mind, that my dad recently found was a pureed banana. It works well, but the food of course tastes like bananas which may actually taste goo din come instances. My brother tried it with a cornbread recipe and her said it was pretty good. There are other things, but I forget what they were. My dad says it was very easy to find egg substitutes on the internet.

You answered your own question, No.

No, not a cake with eggs in it, but I'm sure there is an egg substitute that they will use.

yes, but the cake has to be made according to the vegan "rules". they have found a substitute for just about everything, why not eggs.

I just ate a delicious vegan cake for my birthday. My husband, the meat eater, was skeptic, but he loved the end result. I would say it comes out a tiny bit flatter, but that worked out to our advantage since it was only three of us eating the cake and we didn't have too much left over!!
