Peta2.com icon?!

Question:

Peta2.com icon?

i was looking at a peta2 icon and it said "i fake it" what does that have to do with killing animals?

Answers:
Well, it's to persuade people who can't live without meat that they don't have to suffer due to lack of meat.

But seriously, I think PETA have a major sexist issue. Are they saying faking an orgasm is just as good as a real one? WTF? And not mentioning their idiology: treat animals like human, but treat women like meat.

They are trying to make vegetarianism sexy by using double entendres. It means you don't use things that kill animals but instead use fake meat, cheese, fur, leather, etc. like that. And it reminds people of sex so they feel cool or something. Not sure why they have to resort to that.

I don't know what you are talking about...

I'm a vegan, but I really question most everything that PETA does. "I Fake It" isn't remotely sexy (even if it was, that's a bad angle to broach the subject on), and unless someone previously knew what it meant, if they saw it on a t-shirt or a pin or something they'd have no idea what message you were trying to get across.

I Fake It - as in meat, cheese, eggs, fur, leather, etc. Mostly, if you resort to wearing your opinions it'll just make people even more uncomfortable about them. How many people have pins on their bags that say "I Don't Fake It"?

soz, dunno

Fake meat products, fake leather, fake dairy products, etc.

And to answer the answerers above me:
They are intentionally vague in order to get people to ask questions. When people ask questions, it gives you an opportunity to explain how real meat, dairy, leather, etc. are cruel, unhealthy, and unnecessary. It is only slightly sexual because that is what piques most people's interests.
