my ex used to work there when it was a humble hippy wholefood's bakery co-operative called 'Basics' (where every member of staff having equal rights to the running of business/profit-share) before The Screaming Carrot took over and became just another profit-making business like anyone else's. the name change was a complete shock and a total embarrassment to the rest of the community there. i haven't been in since but i guess the food's more or less stayed the same (wholemeal vegan soz rolls/pizzas, tho i loved the interesting pies). i guess it's a small business who would need all the support they could get when faced with conglomerate supermarkets all over the Nottingham city suburbs.

Hi, they seem to make the same stuff as 'veggies' who are based in nottingham, it tastes the same too. Their bakewell tart and carrot cake i can recommend! They also seem to supply some of the independant wholefood shops in the north.
