Well--you could try to start by drinking soy milk etc instead of regular--and could try to get soy cheese etc...you basically just have to cut out the eggs adn dairy fromyour diet so it depends on how much you do that now--To really be vegetarian with the cheese you have to have cheese that has no rennet--and that is made with microbial enzymes or rennet--not the cow gut kind...you could start by eating the microbial cheese and eating eggs that are laid by cage free, vegetarina fed hens...and if your diet allows for it--switch to pure veganism--it limits your choices so it is easier in a way to be a vegan--but I think that is more for people who want to simplify their food choices...it is pretty healthy too..you Mom IS really nice to help you out---keep in mind basic fruits and veggies are still the cornerstone--so if you're eating a lot of those--with brown rice etc..you will get your food in pretty simple ways...
It's really nice of your mom to make two meals. A lot of moms wouldn't' do that. If you decide you want to be a vegan, than you need to go talk to a doctor or nutritionist to help you do it the right way. You will need to take some kind of vitamins of supplements to make up for what you are not getting as well.
great question btw
you have got to talk to your mom about it
after all she is being very good t you making you a seperate meal
also maybe it is a good idea to go shopping with her sum time and show her a load of vegan products like soya milk
this way you are educating your mom how easy it is to cook vegan food
and also you may have to take sum vitamins to help replace the nutrients lost from an absent of meat and dairy products in your diet
hey da...its not a hard job if u try and help ur mom with the cookiin... go in for dishes which are easy to make.. so tat there is no problem cookin thm and not much time is spent.. even convince ur family towards the change
It's very nice of your mom to not force you to eat meat. That's what a lot of moms do (including my sister who makes my niece eat meat, although my niece has BEGGED to stop eating it). If you want to be a vegan, find some nice recipes for your mom to cook from, or recipes that the whole family can eat. And, if you get an allowance, spend some of it on a carton of soy milk every week and just leave the cheese off of whatever else you're eating. It's very easy to leave dairy products out of your food and I'm sure it wouldn't bother your mom at all. The only things you should worry about are trying to get some soy milk and tofu to get your vitamins, which are pretty inexpensive if your mom considers how much it would cost to feed you meat every day.
