Why do people just genralize vegitarians and vegans?!

Question:

Why do people just genralize vegitarians and vegans?

ok, not all of us or hardly any of us are "really skinny, pale, and have jello for mucsles"

Lots of people actually FACTUALLY take care of them selves, i take vitaims everyday to replace meat. not only am i getting tons of protien but a lot of other healthy vitaims also. and don't be all like "stop ebing fake and eat meat its what its for" well not really, pople grow cows just to kill them, they never experience reaql life. even if they are just a cow or a pig. they have to cut down trees to fuel machines, dump the guts into the water and irrigation. its horrible. did you know that in that "yummy" steak you are eating there is pus filled sores and poop in it from being given hormones to grow faster so the cannot walk sometimes!

SO DON'T GENERALIZE AND PLEASE DON'T SAY "EAT MEAT"

thats who we are and who'll we'll be so whatever

just voicing MY OPINION!

p.s i super suck at spelling since i am going really fast!

SORRY!

I agree with you! People do generalize and stereotype veggies and it's too bad. I know that I've been stereotyped b/c of my race and from experience, I know that peple do that when they are 1) ignorant about someone who is different from them and 2) intimidated for the sheer fact that they ARE ignorant about that other person. An automatic response is to make fun or belittle the other person in order to shift their feeling of inferiority to someone else.
I think that {to some meat-eaters} veggies represent a world that is foreign and unknown to them...we're a group of non-conformists who have amazing will power. We hold strongly to our beliefs and are not easily swayed out of them.
Again, because they don't understand where we're coming from, they try to make us feel bad.

Thanks for posting....! People shouldn't judge a book by it's beautiful veggie cover! :-)

Hi.I know how you feel but not all people are like that.People who make fun of you probably don't even know what a factory farm is.

who cares about what meat eaters think, they don't know what's going on

is like i rather be pale then 500lbs

They don't know about the grossness and even if they do, they don't have to agree with us.
Lots of vegetarians and vegans are quite militant about trying to convert many people though so it's not like they imagined up the generalizations. I guess they feel threatened or something. Veggie-phobic.
The normal people who live and let live don't get noticed. they don't even know we don't eat meat unless we tell them so all they see are the extremists.
And no, we're not all sickly. I am quite fat. I've lost a lot of weight since being vegan since last June and vegetarian for a year before that, but it's coming off slow and healthy.

I would point out that you are generalizing meat eaters. Not all of them have this opinion and so you are committing the very error you protest about.

sadly people are misinformed.

I agree with you, that if people want to be vegans for whatever reasons they have, then other people shouldn't come on here and tell them to just eat some meat. But in the same respect, vegans shouldn't go around telling everyone else they shouldn't eat meat. A lot of the generalizations and dislike for vegetarians is because of the holier than thou attitude many of them take. People like mike there saying " who cares what the meat eaters think" are the people who cause everyone to generalize and dislike vegetarians.
