Does meat or vegetables have more protein?!
Does meat or vegetables have more protein?
Answers:
Meat has more protein per ounce (but not per calorie). However, you don't need more protein than required, and this requirement can be easily met with legumes, nuts and grains. Non-fruit vegetables such as spinach, broccoli etc derive most of their calories from protein. However they are not considered protein sources because they are primarily composed of fiber and water by mass.
Meat has more protein the veggies.
Meat is the main source of protein. Vegetables like beans can provide protein, but they lack some of the essential amino acids that make up a complete protein. Meat naturally has all the correct amino acids.
Meat Has more Protein than Vegetables. In 1 of the pages I read It said that you had to eat twice the serving of vegetables to get the same amount of protein of Meat.
Meat is a protein and vegetables are carbs. Although, nuts such as Almonds, peanuts and cashews are loaded with lots of protein.
If you steal protein from another animal by eating it than of course it has more protein b/c that animal did all of the work! However, if you source protein from legumes (such as chickpeas and other hearty beans) then you get the protein minus the cholesterol that comes with the meat. Yes, the protein content is lower in legumes than meat, however, they are also usually lower in calories and packed with additional nutrients. Your body also digests legumes better than if you were to eat meat. Over all, a vegetarian diet is more beneficial than a carnivorous one in for both you and the rest of the planet!
Definitely meat has more protein.
