Here is a link that shows that only 2.8 percent are actual vegetarians. Many people claim to be vegetarians, but still eat poultry or fish. The amount that eats no meat is 2.8 percent. Its shocking that the number is so low, considering 80 percent of the population suffers from some type of chronic illness. I would love to know what percentage of vegetarians are totally healthy, but those type of statistics havent been gathered. Here is a link for the source

No One knows .. I tried to find this out myself, but there is not sufficient data on it ... In the US for example it is somewhere between 2 percent and 8 percent ..depending upon why they claim to be or are .. India has the highest percentage ...but unfortunately there is not enough data to calculate at this time ..and no surveys to support the answer.. if someone claims to have this answer..they are full of it....Wish I knew too..
