Animal testing: what are the alternatives?!
Animal testing: what are the alternatives?
i've heard people mention it, but not in detail.
i'm curious, how can a computer tell us how a human would react to a certain product?
before you lecture me about how wrong animal testing is, i am against it, i just want to understand the alternatives so i can explain it coherently to people when they ask me.
thank you

i love animal testing they are our best source for testing without using humans and that's the way it will always be i have donated my body to science have you and it still can not help them discover new drugs and how they react on humans that are alive and breathing you are a veggie wacko
well im not even sure.
I think a good alternative would be to let violent offenders in prison volunteer and get privileges in return.
I don't see what all the fuss is about.
Quit testing on animals and start using incarcerated criminals. Yes. That's right. Squirt shampoo in their eyes I say!
At least they can make an honest contribution to society for once in their miserable lives!
Just follow the Golden Rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. If researchers aren't willing to test products on themselves, they shouldn't test them on animals. And if they are going to test a product on animals, I don't want to use it.

There are numerous methods of testing that do not use animals.
A quick internet search will provide a lot of links describing these alternatives.
I posted a few of these links in my sources for you to peruse.
The most notable of these is the TOPKAT program. This is a computer program used by the FDA, military, et cetera to test without animals.
I think we should test on the people producing the products that need to be tested.
I think they should test things on convicted child molesters and rapists, but of course they have more rights than I do, let alone an animal. Animal testing has been proven to be ineffective anyway-humans and animals have different chemical makeups, and what causes symptoms in one animal, may not in another. How many times has a drug been proven "safe", approved for marketing, then pulled a year later after people dropped dead from taking it? All too often. I also know that if labs offered to pay humans to test products, many would willingly do so. I think its shocking that an animal has to be exposed to things it wouldnt encounter in its natural habitat. How could it NOT react to it.
test on PETA members since they hate animal testing so much.
animal testing has saved millions of human lives.insulin was first tested on animals, some cancer medication also tested on animals.medication for HIV/AIDS had also be tested on animals.
so anyone that says animal testing is cruel.they would rather see millions of people die than see a animal die
The problem is funding. With sufficient cash rewards, there are lots of people who would be willing to volunteer for being guinea pigs (of course they'd have to sign all the paperwork waiving responsibility for anything bad that happens). It's humane because they're volunteering for it. If we didn't spend so much damned money on wars, it could be used for scientific research.
