Absolutely.

We run a veggie and vegan guest house in the UK and i sware all our guests look young, are full of energy, always out and about.

I also know some vegans and they tend to look younger than thier meat-eating peers.

laura-something-or-other is wrong. The cause of the "recovering veggie" problems was a poor diet, not a veggie one. There is no need to take ANY suppliments if you have a balanced veggie diet.

me. been veggie for 27 years & never seen any need to take any suppliments - its just a meat-eaters myth.

no it does'nt

A plant-based diet is healthier for you so you will definitely feel better.

sorry I am not a vegetarian. But I can tell you that it is not make you feel and look younger. Just make yourself happy and no stress, then you will feel happy. This will make you think younger too,

And to live longer and healthier. It's a win-win-win.

i know you'll feel better but not look younger or feel younger.

as a matter-of-fact, it does. and in some studies, smarter.
people having a high concentration of antioxidants in their skin have fewer wrinkles and look younger. a study confirmed that non-vegetarians had less antioxidants in their bodies than vegetarians. we get most of these antioxidants from beta-carotene as well as Vitamins A, C, D and E. and what has this? fruit and vegetables!
not only will you look younger, but feel younger. because vegetarianism helps fight a wide range of cancers (like colon cancer) and other illnesses, you will definitely feel younger. a study also concluded a diet of meat can lead possibly to men becoming impotent, and have erectile dysfunction... that would surely make one feel old!

hope I helped! take care.
peace.

I've never felt better, my body has never looked better, and my skin has never been so clear.

I have tons of energy and I live life guilt-free.

My neice is a recovering vegetarian. She thought it was 'cool' and I think she liked the attention she got because we always had to make sure there was a 'veggie' dish she could enjoy at family parties. However, she only seemed to gain weight, and her cholesterol is higher, possibly because she rationalizes eating other junk because it didn't have any meat.

I think if you are going to be a strict vegetarian, and not eat any animal products at all.... like eggs, milk, cheese, butter, etc. You really need to make sure you are getting all the protein and nutrients and vitamins necessary to sustain health. Take good supplements that have concentrated foods in them because it's cost prohibitive to eat enough food that has all the stuff you need.

YES .. It positively does !! ..when people are young most of them are fairly healthy and look good , but as you age is the true test ........ I have 2 sisters that are vegan 58 and 48 .. and 2 that are not 56 and 53 ..the 2 that are are much healthier and their skin has less wrinkles , they look younger .. the 2 that are not have much more wrinkles, dry skin, and are always at doctors for some ailment .. I Love them all but I do see a big difference in them ..... and have to worry about the 2 that are not because of their health issues ........ I am 50 ..have almost no wrinkles , do not dye my hair and am extremely healthy .. not overweight and feel great ..Vegan 25 years ..vegetarian 10 years prior to that ...

No
Eating healthy, exercising regularily, good attitude towards life, and genetics do.
If you are a Kraft Dinner eating vegetarian, you will not be as healthy as a health-conscious meat eater.
Take a look at Olympic Athletes. They are some of the healthiest people out there and a very low percentage of them are Vegetarians.

not only did it make me look and feel younger, but by becoming a veg, I healed from a chronic, long term, crippling illness. I feel teriffic, have a perfect figure, glowing skin, thick, long curly, shiny hair, and thick, strong. long natural nails. At a recent high school reunion, there were 4 veggies in a class of 954 students-we were clearly healthier, more fit, and less aged than the meat eaters. I think it rocks!

What PG said was right on. A vegetarian diet is not necessarily a healthy diet. I know lots of fat vegetarians. (I live in L.A.) And a healthy diet can include meat. Why are you forbidding non-veggies to answer? If you want to get to the heart of any matter look at the facts. Don't seek out information that supports your current beliefs. Look at things rationally and objectively then draw a conclusion.

Yes, I'm 34 and get mistaken for a 20 - something all of the time!! It is those fresh fruits and vegetables that help you stay younger looking than your meat eating peers.

- BTW Laura's botanicals, what is 'Arbonne' is it like 'Avon'?

I can, but it's a matter of what you eat and how you live. However, people who have this kind of lifestyle tend to eat more fresh foods and less junk. This is what is noted in medical studies concerning vegetarian and non-vegetarian.

A statistical survey I recently came across indicates, they would tend to eat better.

Yes...

Yes, plus lots of exercise too. Before having kids (which has made me very very very very tired all the time) everyone thought I was 10 years younger than I am. Now with all this lack of sleep and rest, I'm looking my age, but still look 10x healthier than others my age.
