What are your best tips for someone wanting to become a vegetarian?
I've done alot of researching and I know i want to cut meat out of my diet, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I tried recently, but it wasnt happening.... whats the easiest way to start?

Well get the starter kits from vegan websites, don't worry they're completely free, they'll help you become a vegetarian, also start getting addicted to fruits and vegetables
Don't bother.Your body will tell you what you need.
Umm. My guess would be to stop eating meat. As for myself, this question makes me want a big, fat, juicy, medium rare steak. MMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......
Just start off with a little more veggies everyday than you normally do. Cut back a little more on meats everyday. Make yourself chicken salads and eventually take out the chicken. Make vegetarian dishes to try often so you have a good supply of meals and wont be tempted to eat something else. Dont buy meat at all, and dont let yourself drive to McDonalds either lol. Will Power! Best luck. Its hard!
One way to do it, is to see if your favourite type of meat is available in a veg form. There are all sorts of substitutes for hamburgers, sausages, etc. Those are generally good for new Vegetarians to try, when a meat craving comes up.
Another solution is to try the web for recipies that won't have you missing meat at all.
There are so many different cuisines that you can adapt, to omit Animal products. Italian, Chinese, etc. Indian food has hundreds of veg goodies to choose from. There's stuff from the Middle East, that should satisfy your palate without having to resort to eating critters.
Be creative and have fun with it. That's a truism that applies to 99.9% of Vegetarian cooking.
Pick one thing you want to leave out and do that for a month, then the next one. Try also to leave out your favorite meat more and more and reduce it till you can leave it out completely. Try new fruits and vegetables and veggie burgers and stuff like that, that will make it easier too!
Here are a few tips for starting out as a vegetarian
1) Dont say "Im going to start out as a vegetarian on Monday" or "Im going to become a vegetarian right after thanksgiving" if you start out like this, than i guarantee you that you will break later on. It doesnt matter if your bestfriends big BBQ dinner is tomorow, if you want this than you do it NOW...no matter how hard it is. And it will be very hard. Trust me, im an ovo lacto vegetarian and i started 4 days before xmas
2) Dont get into "well this week im going to cut out red meet, than the next week ill cut out chicken" and so on and so forth. this will just cause extra temptation and you will probobly end up saying to yourself "well im not a full vegetarian yet, so i can break it because im in the mood for a steak tonight" eventually you will just get back to where you stated
3) although i think its fine with doing is later on in your (vegetarian) life, i DONT recomend eating soy meat in your first...i want to say 2 months of being a vegetarian. If soy meat is prepared correctly, (im not really sure cuz i dont remember what meat tastes like but i have been told) that it tastes somewhat like real meat, kind of farfetched but still has a similar taste. I think that is better to just totally try and forget about what meat tastes like alltogether before you start taking substitutes.
4) Ive been a vegetarian for 2 years and i never did any research on how to be a healthy one until about a week ago when i found out that i am anemic, therefore i highly recomend THAT AS SOON AS YOU TURN VEGGIE do research on how to be healthy, or else you could end up anemic like me..
thats all for now, good luck
