The wonderful part about labels is they can be misused. You can call yourself (almost) whatever you want!

Once you make the decision to stop eating meat and stick to your decision, you're a vegetarian.

*to be classed as a veggy, you need to give up all meat and fish, there is not a time limit to when you start calling yourself a veggy you are a veggy as soon as you stop.*

you can call yourself a vegetarian starting the moment you decide to cease eating meat of any kind (beef, pork, chicken, eggs, seafood.)

call yourself whatever you want, whenever you want. You wont be fooling anyone but yourself. I wouldnt call my self a non smoker until I had been free of them for at least 48 hours, but thats just me

That's not how it works. It's a decision and a commitment to become vegetarian.
