It's not a question of being "cute". it's the fact that they are social mammals like ourselves and that is the stigma of supporting the killing of them. They are both highly intellectual, have large family groups, and are thus highly relatable to humans. So you may have a better argument against killing them, or eating them, if you don't say "cute", but rather use better arguments. I would not eat whales or dolphins. But I dont eat many animals, so hey I don't know. I like sushi though =)
