Are there really animal bones in gummy bears?!

Question:

Are there really animal bones in gummy bears?

Answers:
yes,,,it is in jello also... sounds gross but if you know 1/2 the crap that was in OJ, Hotdogs, etc. You would never eat any of those things again.

They use the bone marrow and grind it super fine and somehow it is used in gelatin....that is what makes in "Gel"

Sorry to be the bearer of bad new.

uuuuh no

NOO...but it would be funny if there were

No the animal bones are with the animal cookies, but just the frosted ones I think.

wow.........umm.....let me think..............no?

BONES?? Have you ever eaten a gummy bear? Ask yourself if it felt boney. Good grief.

Gummi Bears are made with gelatin, which comes from animal hooves. Not quite bones, but close enough.

If the ingredients list gelatin or gelatine then, yes. Gelatine is made from boiling downanimal bones, usually pig.

A lot of sweet makers have recognised that people don't necessaritly want this (Polo Mints for example) and have begun to use alternative ingrediants. Always check on the pack.

yes , and also most off the lettuce that you veggies eat are grown with with compost that has chiken in it, happy eatin

LOL, no

yes

well if it says gelatin than yes it doesn't have animal bones it but something wit pork or pig.

Kind of.

Gummy bears contain gelatin which is made from the hydrolysis of collagen from the connective tissue of animals. I know a lot of vegetarians that eat fish. If you are one of them, you may find reassurance in the fact that fish tissue has increasingly been used recently.

I hope not!! lol

Do you think so? Think you can answer that for yourself. Its pretty logical.

Bone marrow is in jello like substances, and marsh mellows, it is ground up real fine.

Edible gelatin is the basic ingredient in gummi bears. Gelatin (used to make Jell-o and other desserts) is made from the boiled bones, skins and tendons of animals.

So yes, gummi bears are made from animal bi-products.

Man, it's hilarious how many people act like they know something and are probably now hurling in their sinks.

Yuck, after all these answers I'm never eating those disguisting little things again!!! (or jello)

there is gelatin, which is pork skins, pork and cattle bones, or cattle hides. You cannot eat some yogurt brands, skittles, starrburst, or sour cream. Some other candies and dairy products may contain gelatin; sour patch is edible

Well, if there is gelatin in the gummy bears, then yes, there are animal hooves and possibly bones in them. Marshmallows, jello, and many candies contain gelatin, which makes them unsuitable for vegetarians.

Yep! Anything with gelatine in it has charred animal bones and cartiledge in it. That's what makes it chewey like it is. But there are great alternatives that use seaweed instead!

yes, indeed. Gelatine is made from the boiled bones, skins, ligaments, and tendons of slaughtered animals. Gelatine is also commonly found in yogurt, ice cream, pop tarts, and many other candies. Read ingredient labels=if it has gelatine, you are eating dead animals

kinda, gummy bears contain gelatin which is made from the hydrolysis of collagen from the connective tissue of animals.
