Can too much soy make your stomach hurt?
So far today I have had sauteed tofu, carrots and garlic on couscous, a smoothie with soy milk, strawberries, banana, plain yogurt and honey, and toasted whole wheat pita bread dipped in guacamole and hummus (not together). Did I just get way too much fiber today, or too much soy, or what? It hurts like I've been punched in the stomach.

Excuse me, answer no. 2, but that was three very small meals over the course of an entire day.

Soy can be hard to digest. It is a bean which is tough on our systems. Good luck. Try steamed Edamame with course salt, quite good.
Maybe you have a flu...too much of anything could make your stomach hurt. But if it feels like you've been punched in the stomach, it might be a pulled muscle. If you did any ab exercizes or twisted in a weird way, it could just be that...
That's a lot of fiber and a lot of food.
Too much of anything can hurt your stomach.
Interestingly, there's a story that Asian laborers on Hawaiian sugar plantations in the 1800's used to be able to fake a high fever to get out of work by drinking large amounts of soy sauce. It gives you a temporary fever. I never tried it out myself though.
