Any vegans/vegetarians turn towards non-veg afterwards?!
Any vegans/vegetarians turn towards non-veg afterwards?
Honestly curious about logical reasons for someone who was a vegan/vegetarian to turn towards non-veg afterwards. I do not mean to offend anyone. My cousin, for example, who was born&raised veg in veg-friendly South India, turned nonveg after eating mutton with friends.
Four types of general diet trends with respect to veg*ism.
B&R - born and raised, became
(1) B&R veg*n veg*n
(2) B&R non-veg non-veg
(3) B&R non-veg veg*n
(4) B&R veg*n non-veg????
To be fair for (4), I can understand if you grew up veg*n and stayed in an area where hardly any fruits and vegetables grew so that you were mainly limited to non-veg. I also understand if you were forcefed meat by your spouse or others, or if you had nutritional deficiency due to a veg diet.
Otherwise, what else? Ok, one might be curious how meat tastes like or others may have wanted you to try it, but if one was fine with a humane, veg diet before then what??? Isn't a veg diet healthier & animal-friendly?

Born vegan due to my mother's religious belief...(Yes, we don't believe in eating meat...)
Then when I was a teenager..decided to be rebelious and try eating some meat..and maaan did it taste goood :) then gained weight..got depressed...and understood the concept of truly being a vegan and all the health benefits...
I'm still a non-practicing vegan :) I say this because I eat a tone of organic greens and fruits all the time...but there are times when I cannot the resist the cravings of seafood..teehee..
I don't eat any other meat other than seafood...
About 6 years ago I went vegetarian for about two years. I felt much healthier and more energetic while on the diet, but decided to go back to eating meat because I'm in the food biz. I'm considering going back to it, though. I miss how good I used to feel.
b/r then I ate meat still do BUT my son will not eat meat at all!
my parents were veg*n after becoming members of a certain church with certain food laws...I rebelled after I left home by eating meat, honestly...after being made to adhere to food laws that I didn't agree with and feeling hungry for most of my childhood...I think moderation is the key in all things...and I am happily non-veg*n now...
I am a vegitarian and I feel good. I have been one since june 2006 and I will never go back to eating meat. Not even if someone paid me.
