Vegan Beer?!
Vegan Beer?
Does anyone know of any good websites with lists of vegan beers, I found a couple, but I was wondering if there are any more complete lists that maybe I have overlooked.
Usually I just try to stick to beers that I know are vegan, but I have recently started loving the taste of a good beer and I would just like to be more informed for if I want to try new beers.
Thanks.

many beer companies use Isinglass from the swimbladders of fish to clarify their beers. So not only are they not vegan... they're not even vegetarian (since those who choose to eat fish and seafood are pescatarians, not vegetarians.) Also, honey lagers ostensibly contain honey, a problem for vegans as well. Here are some beers that I enjoy, no doubt there are others:
Budweiser and Michelob (though they support rodeos and Seaworld, if that is an issue for you.)
Coors & Coors Light
Heineken
Labatt (everything but honeys and stouts)
Molson (same)
Mike's Hard Lemonade
Miller
Newcastle (bottles only)
Pabst Blue Ribbon
Rolling Rock
Sam Adams
(I live in a relatively small town, so specialty beers aren't on this list. I have found that beer producers are often happy to tell you one way or the other. Most Stouts are not, FYI. Guinness especially.. *sigh*
In case you like liquor, Absolut Vodka, Captain Morgan's Rums, Crown Royal, Jack Daniels (made near me!), Jagermeister, Jose Cuervo, regular Kahlua (and Vanilla/Hazelnut), Skyy Vodka, and Smirnoff are all vegan friendly. I was surprised by the Kahlua, and happy too!

As a half-mind myself, I can't think of a better place to look that this. GL
:)
As far as I know and my understanding of veganism, all beers are made from hops and barley and therefor fall within the vegan philosophy.
airbob, its not what beer is MADE of that makes it unvegan, its what (some) are processed with.
