Does anyone know how to make our own non-hydrogenated margarine?!

Question:

Does anyone know how to make our own non-hydrogenated margarine?

I′ve been vegetarian for a year and now I′m getting started with veganism. I know there′s a recipe for it, but I just couldn′t find it yet on the internet. Margarines sold here are either hydrogenated or non vegan, so pleeeeease help!
Thanks!

Answers:
Mind telling us roughly where you are so we can give suggestions for products that may be available in your area?

The ingredients required to make your own are most likely NOT available in your area if you can't find a grocer or health food store that carries EarthBalance or one of the lesser brands of vegan margarine.

If (and ONLY if) you can get Extra Virgin Coconut Oil in your area there is a way to artificially flavor and color it to make a margarine/butter substitute. Keep in mind that you're still going to have trouble finding the correct flavoring and coloring ingredients and all this stuff is relatively *expensive*!!

If all else fails I'd recommend an overnight e-tailer order of EarthBalance since that'd be cheaper, easier and better than making your own!

Vegetarians do not eat fish. A fish eater is a Piscivore. Spread the correct word!

sorry, i don't know how to make homemade non-hydrogenated margarine, but i do know of a 100% vegan buttery spread that is all that you mentioned. it's called organic earth balance whipped buttery spread and you can find it at your local health food store.

good luck!

Yeah, I agree with mookiemonkee.
