If your a vegitarian can you eat chicken?!

Question:

If your a vegitarian can you eat chicken?

Answers:
that's the whole point of being a vegetarian- to NOT eat poultry, or meat

no

Vegi's dont eat anything that was once alive or moving..like meat. But i think they can eat fish though

you can...but you won't be a vegetarian anymore

If you're a hypocrite, sure.

I guess you could eat whatever you want and call yourself whatever you want.

But you KNOW you wouldn't be a vegetarian!

Why do people keep asking if any meat is exempt? For ethical vegetarians, no meat is exempt. Fish is a meat. Chicken is a meat. -- Same as pork or beef.

Rule of thumb: if it had a face or a mother, you can't eat it if you are really and truly a vegetarian.

well sure as long as its only once a month or sumthing....i no tht cuz im a vegetarien myself

OFCOURSE NOT if you are just starting i suggest that when you try to be a naturalist that you research the subject before you start calling yourself something.

vegetarian means that a person only eats foods like vegetables & does NOt consume food from animals!! except if you are a lacto-vegetarian, then those ppl eat food made with the by-products of animals..like they would eat cakes(made with eggs) & things like that.

A vegitarian could eat chicken but then they wouldn't be a vegan any more. Till the next day, when they started eating only a vegan diet again.

Vegetarians dont eat meat & fish. Some dont even eat poultry products like egg . however some like to have soy which is the closest to meat in looks and almost the same taste if prepared right.

no. that is the point not to eat anything that was alive or moving.

No, the point of being a vegetarian is not eating meat of any kind-including poultry, beef, pork or fish.

In my opinion, No! Same goes for fish. Any flesh of any animal.

No, no red meat, poultry or fish/seafood

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Iam not kidding

No!!!

Why do a vegetarian would eat chicken ?
I would have understood a question about eating eggs... but chicken ?! Isn't a chicken a living being ? Sure it is ! So real vegetarian do not eat poultry ! Never flesh nor fish !

Only Mock Chicken.

If the said vegetarian assumes a chicken is not a real animal, then yes, a vegetarian can eat chicken. If anybody asks, just say you thought you thought chickens were vegetables.

Oh, and if vegetarians eat chicken, why not eat fish,m pork, beef, lamb, and babies?

Also, if a vegetarian can eat any animal they want, why can't vegans? Hmm... good idea Cliff, vegans must be allowed to eat cheese, babies, beef, chicken, milk, brains, blood, fish, fish eggs, chicken eggs, and maybe even fairy dust.

You can eat whatever you want,
But if someone eats chicken they are not a vegetarian.
They would be a meat-eater that likes veggies.

Also I saw some people saying that vegetarians eat fish, fish is an animal.
If some one eats fish they are not a vegetarian.
They are again, a meat-eater that likes veggies.

Vegetarians don't eat animals, and it doesn't matter whether those animals are fish or birds or cows...

no.

You aren't a vegitarian if you eat chicken. Uhhh....vegetarian....veg....v...

Chicken is an animal...vegetarians do not eat animals.

chicken is meat is still comes from a liveing thing. i think the word for a person if they eat chicken is a MEAT EATER!

no they cant eat meat.

of course not, chicken is meat and veggies don't eat meat. it doesn't matter if it's a bird, fish, or cow, if it was alive and could feel pain veggies don't eat it.
