Vegetarian ate meat....?!

Question:

Vegetarian ate meat....?

I'm 12, 13 in May-- I've been a vegitarian since December-ish 05...I may have accidentaly ate meat tonight in the gravy-im looking up the ingredients.

If I did eat the meat, what will happen to me? How can I make my stomach feel better, because currently it hurts so badly?

Hi,
I 'm a vegetarian too. I have had this experience. The main thing to do is NOT stress about eating the meat. Your body will digest it. And, when, if your stomach hurts all you need to do is drink some water. Your stomach is just reacting to the meat juice and the water will dilute it.
It is a very simple solution with no side effects.
Be blessed.

Take some petobismal and wait it out. That's about all you can do.
Good Luck.

Oh, you poor thing. Try to lay down. It's not poisonous but it will definitely hurt for a little bit.

take motrin 4 pain adn take a laxitive to get it out faster....if u take the laxitive cancle ur plans 4 dis weekend...lol

try taking pepto, pepcid, tums anything to settle your stomach. You may have diarrhea or vomit, but you probably won't be too sick. Your stomach is just not used to the meat anymore.

Sorry to hear that though. Hope you feel better!!

If you are in that much pain you should see a Dr. Feel better

aww...i feel for you...if you did eat meat don't worry, your body is just reacting in a normal way because now it's not used to meat. You should brush your teeth and watch a funny movie and eat ice cream to get your mind off the pain. Sadly there is nothing else you can do...and did I say I am proud of you? at least you have the courage to try and make a difference. Thank you.

i'm a vegetarian. & it'z no big deal that u ate meat or whatever. but take some pepto bismol & get over it!! lol. but really, i think u'll be fine

Treat it the same way that you'd treat any upset stomach.

And give yourself a break. You didn't do this intentionally. But do learn form this. Read the ingredients list or ask questions. But if you have to ask questions, make them open-ended. By that mean, don't ask IF there is any meat or meat product in the food, ask what's in the food. If you ask as a yes-or-no question, it's easy for people to say no, even when the answer is yes, and mean it. Also, many people think that using beef or chicken stock, for example, but not using bits of beef or chicken in the dish make it vegetarian. You and I know better. Just don't give people a chance to deceive you - ask those open-ended questions.

im a vegitarian cuz i get sick when i eat meat, but i take an ibprophin (sorry i dont knoe how 2 spell that) and relax, it will feel better later

Again and again, anorexia masquerading as vegetarian. Being a vegetarian fine--gonna die from eating meat?--ye shall not surely die! Meat's not acceptable but Ibprophen is?

Oh that happens to every vegetarian. If you only ate a little it will go away soon enough. just relax & don't think about it.

if you are vegetarian because of religion, say a prayer to the Lord. If not, a visit to the doctor will usually do the trick.

Your body is probably not used to the meat, so a stomach upset or a fever is expected. Or it could be that the food itself is spoilt or contaminated in the first place. A home-remedy is to boil some ginger and drink the water. It will soothe the pain.

but don't worry too much since you did not eat it purposely. All humans make mistakes and the most important thing is to learn from this incident and take extra caution next time.
