Going vegan?!

Question:

Going vegan?

I am going vegan and I'm wondering how to make sure that I don't gain weight. (I gained a decent amount going vegetarian)
I've heard that you can divide up meals so that you have just fruit in the morning, starch for lunch, and protein for dinner (order doesn't matter)
I've also heard that eating too many carbohydrates is the main reason for gaining weight when you're vegetarian or vegan. But if I ever got hungry and ate apples (5-6, excluding any that I would have for breakfast) throughout the day could I gain weight off of that since apples are simple carbohydrates?
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to make sure that I lose the extra weight that I gained and stop from gaining anymore??

Answers:
I think its a lot easier to gain weight as a vegetarian rather as a vegan, because of all those dairy products one consumes. Veganism helps those who tend to gain weight because it restricts much of what contributes to that, but it is not the panacea of weight problems. Essentially it all boils down to input/output. Consume only as much as you are using. So, your choices are to eat less or do more. I'm not a big fan of working out for the sake of working out, so see if you can incorporate more physical activity in your daily life. Bike or walk to work, or maybe join a volleyball league. Also, beware of grazing! Too many snacks however healthy is not helping. 5-6 apples a day seems like a hefty amount. Eat a good breakfast so you start the day with an adequate amount of energy.

i like to being a vegan to because i think the Body needs natural energy from Vegetables i want to hear more the feelings of vegan people

Fruits and vegetables are different in composure and should not be eaten at the same meal. It creates much more of a burden on the system to eat both at the same time. Many would do much better eating only twice a day. The average American eats much more quantity and much less quantity than should be eaten, thus we have the health statistics that we have today in America that are not hard to see. Let your food be your medicine, and your lifestyle will take care of your being, but be governed by appetite, and you can only reap evil on your system. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" is the testimony of scripture. What we do not know, can harm us. It is our duty and priviledge to learn about the best ways to maintain this living machinery that we have.

I can't be your dotor and I don't know much about weight gain while being vegan/vegetarian. They are two complete different things to go by. I have been before because I love cows and that is what most meat is from and I am lactose intolorant. So it worked and helped me, But never gained weight.Have you had weight problems before? What did you do then if you did? Do you exercise on a regual basis? And most imprtant... Have you talked to your doctor? I will suggest taking B-12 because of the deficiency of that in your new-found diet though. I was told of that by my doctor so be careful on your new style of eating.
