Can you eat peanut butter if you are vegan?!

Question:

Can you eat peanut butter if you are vegan?

what cant you eat and how do you substitute?

Answers:
Yes, you can... You should try natural peanut butter... No hydrogenated oils/sugar/corn syrup, just peanuts and salt.
Tastes like eating real peanuts...

You'll have to get used to Reading the ingredient labels on foods... I'll give you a list of animal ingredients.

I don't agree with peta too much, but they do have a lot of information on thier websites... And I'm not very good at searching for other links, so I'll just give you another peta link with some good meat, dairy, etc... substitutes.

(there are alot of other sites that have meat substitute suggestions, but this one has products that you are likely to find at a lot of stores)

And here is an online Vegan store:

Hope this stuff helps. Good luck.

I eat peanut butter and I'm vegan. I can't think of a peanut butter that has meat or dairy products in it.

yea I think u can eat peanut butter if your vegan as long as doesn't have any meat or dairy products.u can't meat or dairy products. u can eat lot of things. here's a link to a bunch of food that's vegan:http://www.peta2.com/stuff/s-accvegan.as...

peanut butter contains fatty acids extracted from animal fats but has some weird scientific name on the label so does lots of food such as altiods or miller beer products so go to a store that has healthy hippy food that costs way too much

Some peanut butter might have trace ingredients like animal-sourced emulsifiers in it, but it not hard to find vegan brands.

I inhale peanut butter! I get homemade stuff from my food co-op and use celery as a utensil. I put it on toasted bread and sprinkle it with evaporated cane juice (I really should be using maple syrup because its local) and it makes scrumptious dessert!

Yes, you can eat peanut butter!
A vegan eats plant products only. That means nothing that derives from animals (such as eggs, dairy products). A vegan also doesn't use products such as fur or leather.

There are also vegetarians who don't eat meat, but eat animal products (milk, eggs etc) beside plant products.

Being a vegan or a vegetarian is healthy, but you should stop eating animal products gradually, otherwise you'll encounter problems such as extreme weakness.

The kind I use from Green Choice is organic and contains only peanuts and seasalt.

I think most peanut butters out there should be vegan, but just to be safe, stick to organic and always check the ingredients. If you dont understand something, look it up.

Eat organic peanut butter and you'll be fine. Organic peanut butter contains just peanuts and seasalt. Regular peanut butter contains sugar, which is whitened with animal bone char. Enough said.

I'm pretty sure peanut butter is totally safe... There should only be peanuts in there.

This link helped me so I am sure it well help you! http://www.vegan.org
