When making tofu tacos, do you cook the tofu?!

Question:

When making tofu tacos, do you cook the tofu?

Does tofu even go in to veggie tacos?

Answers:
do you want a warm or cold taco, and i think you can answer yourself from that point forward

you can warm tofu at least run a hot water in the faucet so it warm then eat it or just cold its pre-cooked anyway

Tofu is already cooked.

You can use beans instead of tofu.
I like to fry tofu in some cumin, cayenne, red pepper flakes, paprika, onion, and garlic. Chop the tofu up really well. It's really tasty.

Crumble tofu by hand with fork or potato masher into a non-stick skillet & heat thoroughly. Or can use a medium heat to fry the tofu.

Guess it depends on individuals & whether they want to have tofu in veggie tacos :)

I say yes, if you cook it with taco seasoning it tastes GREAT!

Tofu isn't necessary for veggie tacos, but it does add that "meaty" texture. I brown it in the skillet (crumbled up to resemble meat) with the seasoning packet and some water, onions, garlic, etc. Don't use the whole seasoning packet until you have tried it first. Tofu absorbs seasoning quickly, and differently from meat.
