How far do you agree that vegetarian is as healthy as a diet containing meat?!

Question:

How far do you agree that vegetarian is as healthy as a diet containing meat?

Human beings do not need to eat meat in order to maintain good health because they can get all of their food from meatless subtances. a vegetarian is as healthy as a diet containing meat.
how far do you agree with this opinion?

Answers:
Personally speaking, I disagree with that statement. I believe the vegetarian diet is more healthful for me.
As I have stated many times, I was running an average of seven miles a day and still headed for a heart attack. I believed I was the picture of health but I was eating too much meat, but no more than many people eat today.

I gave it up, and after eight years and many heart tests a doctor thought that I should continue doing as i was, abstaining from meat. I do believe that some people can eat meat and be healthy. I no longer believe people need meat to be healthy.

Five brothers (all meat eaters) have all been in the hospital for heart disease. One of those crossed a finish line in a 5 mile road race, in second place, and dropped with a heart attack.

Health starts from the inside, if your diet is wrong for you, you need to make adjustments to find the right one.

I agree 100%. Most people would bring up the protein argument but there are tons in dairy products, tofu, walnuts.. everywhere. I eat meat, but I love food, and if a vegetarian dish is good, I'll eat and enjoy it, no questions. I know plenty of vegetarians who are completely fine, except for one thing. I don't know any vegetarians who aren't damn skinny. I play football soccer and track and there is no way I could stay on an all veg diet.

Nobody has the right to kill other living organism, but how can a human being can do this. In olden days the rishi and sagas were healthy even not having food and lead a healthy life for 100's of years. They had only fruits and vegetables for their survival. Moreover all the essential nutrients that is required for a human being are there in the vegetarian. So its better to have vegetarian food

100% True its my personal experience

I don't agree, because . . . From my research and personal experience, I have found that a VEGETARIAN diet is generally HEALTHIER THAN a diet that includes meat.

I dont, It can be done but with a lot of work, Biologically humans are ominivores, this dosnt mean we can eat either meat or plants, but optimized for a diet containing both. Few plants contain the amino acids the human bodies need. Also the human digestive track, is much simpler then that of herbivors. Cows are not fat, it takes a big body to contain the big digestive track to procewss a plant diet

I totally agree, as long as you are eating a good balance of foods, then the vegetarian/vegan diet is perfectly healthy.

I'd go a step further and say not only is it as healthy in general but it is in fact healthier than a diet containing meat. This is of course providing that there is a variety of vegetarian foods available to incorporate into ones diet.

Fortunately for most of the world this is possible. The choice is ours to chose a diet that is not only more healthy and environmentally responsible, but more compassionate as well.

I'll do ya one better - not only do I agree, but I think that a vegetarian diet is actually healthier than a diet that consists of meat.
The fats and other unhealthy substances found in meat have been known to contribute to the risk of high blood pressure, high cholesterol and heart disease.

I agree 100% that without meat, you can live a healthy life...however, i put upo my hand (im a pestecarian-i eat fish but not meat) to saying that i may not get enough protain as i should every day...although im sure i didnt get enough of other things when i ate meat.

So yes, i agree, but i think it is a little bit harder, and that mane vegans/vegys may not live as healthy a lifestyle as they should.

On the other hand, meat eaters could eat a whole lot healthier too...mcdonalds meat? dairylea luncheables (the meat) is about 12% meat i read...and there is much fat in meat.

Its all up to the exact diet and lifestyle the individual leads...

I take it one step further and assert that a Vegan (or vegetarian) diet is MORE healthful than a meat eating one.

agree

I agree in that a plant based diet is much more healthier and wiser a diet than that which contains flesh foods. A plant based diet was the diet chosen for our first parents in the garden in Eden (read Gen 1 and 2) and it was not until the flood came that man was allowed to eat of flesh, but only upon certain conditions (read Gen 7-9). Flesh food takes much longer to digest, thus taxing the whole system much more and can even cause putrification, which releases much more toxins into the bloodstream. Even chicken and fish contain much of the diseases, chemicals and harmful fats that are prevalent in other flesh foods. Our only safe course is the plant based one. Even in Christ's day, was flesh foods much healthier to parttake of without the many dangers that accompany them now. This is not my opinion, only fact. May the Lord richly bless.

A lacto-ovo vegetarian diet is no better than is an omnivore one. A vegan diet, however, is idea.

100%
i'm also 3000% sure that its a diet far far better then anyother diet out there........ there................. there..................
