I know when I talk about "vegan meat", it is a product made out of vegan products made to resemble or "taste like" a form of meat- the most common or well known are "veggie burgers". These are usually made from soybeans and/or vegetables and rice. While being vegetarian means I don't want to consume an animal product- there are still things I like to eat and "vegan" or "vegetarian" meat products allow me to have a similar product to eat- only eating salads can get a little drab!
