New vegan with question about toxins?!
New vegan with question about toxins?
I became a vegan less than a week ago and I keep hearing stuff about all the toxins that are released when you become one. What do they mean? How will I know toxins are getting out of my body?
Answers:
first you need to know what a toxin is .. A poisonous substance, especially a protein, that is produced by living cells or organisms and is capable of causing disease when introduced into the body tissues but is often also capable of inducing neutralizing antibodies or antitoxins. what they mean is that over time your body will begin to rid itself of the undigested fat and extra fat in your intestines , arteries ..coating bone , etc ...... along with the hormones, antibiotics , and chemicals you ingest with non organic meats .. It will not happen in one squooosh .. it will happen over time..for answerer one you care to research how much undigested fat Elvis had in his intestines at his autopsy ... it is a fact that the average adult of about 30 /35 years old carries 10 lbs of extra undigested fat throughout there body attributed to meat consumption .. so you may have some extra smells come out of you .. and you may notice stuff (to put it mildly) coming out when you go that seems stronger then usual .. please do not ask me to explain .. so anyway that is what they mean ..

vegan forever ...ps anything further email me and I will discuss in private
the concept of "toxins" is bogus. Scientists have never come forward and labeled anything as toxins that relate to what the vegans call toxins. Its just a way of them trying to bring you over to their side
You will feel a lot healthier - healthier than you have felt before, if you thought you felt healthy before you may need to think again.
Also faeces tend to be cleaner and less gooey (sorry for the dirty part there...)
Thats the ways I know of that you can tell the toxins are being released...
You will know toxins are leaving your body...when you pee or sweat. Your body is releasing toxins all the time, no matter how or what you're eating. That's the main function of your excretory system.
It's great that you're vegan and you can eat quite healthfully that way, but the hype about detoxifying your body is sadly, mostly exaggerated. You get to avoid a few nasties like growth hormones, but you will still encounter toxic metals, pesticides, air pollution, etc. just like everyone else. Enjoy the lower cholesterol levels, healthier heart, and other health benefits anyway. :)
(I should note I am using the "biowaste" definition of toxins and not "deadly/dangerous poisons" definition as that is patently false and not even worth arguing.)
First of all congrats for making the right decision that is good for your health and mind, animals and enviroment.
When I became a vegan, I think it took about 1-2 weeks for me to start feeling a very obvious change. I felt 100 times better, no stomach aches like I used to have, and later I realised that I'm not getting sick either. I was a vegetarian before though, so maybe it takes longer for meat eaters?
What is important is that you eat as much raw fruit and vegs as you can. Also learn to cook because real, natural food made from scratch is better than processed stuff. This will make you feel better.
When you get many anti-oxidants from veggies they will protect you from free radicals, and you wont get sick as often as you used to.
Detoxing process isnt painful or something that happens in one day, so you probably won't notice that part. But you will see the benefits soon.
Good luck!
When your body detoxes, you are releasing free radicals bound up by eating of free radical rich foods, such as meat and dairy. When you add in anti-oxidants, your cells are able remove the free radicals easier without the build up.
You may feel weak or sick for a few days, maybe up to two weeks, but then you'll notice a gradual change in energy levels until you wonder why you suffered for so long.
Good luck and peace to you all.
