Why do people go vegetarian when us humans are at the top of the food chain?!

Question:

Why do people go vegetarian when us humans are at the top of the food chain?

i don't know how ppl can go without eating meat anyway...meat is fuc*king good! and we are again, at the top of the food chain...so eat the meat! yum yum

Answers:
I love the top of the food chain argument. People are so far from the food chain that they wouldn't know it if they saw it. Last I checked there is no factory farming in the food chain.

Let me answer your question with a question: why can't people just mind their own business? If they don't want to eat meat, who the f***k are you to tell them different, and vice versa, of course.

>.> Because eating the flesh of another dead animal is disgusting and unnecessary. We can live in a society where we can choose to not keep animals cooped up and suffering because we find meat fo F-ing good as you said.

x.X Go eat some soya. It's fuc*king good!

What do you mean at the top of the food chain? If someone else does the work for you then it's easy, but if you actually have to do it yourself some people couldn't do it.

Watch Survivor. Most of the time the people cannot get any meat because they can't hunt or fish very well. A majority of the time they eat what they can find. The one when they were in Africa the people were scared of the lions/tigers that could come around.

I have no issue gutting an animal if it deserves it.

Do you always let your taste buds justify your actions? They are numb anyway from all the unhealthy things like hormone-stuffed meat you put in your mouth, so how would you know what tastes good?

Why dont you go and try living among the lions and then see who is at the top of the food chain? You feel on top only because you live separate from nature.

I agree, having technological advantage over another species certainly means that we should kill and eat said species...

...Not.

Dude. Seriously. Get outta here.

Speaking personally, I don't want my body to be a graveyard for my friends.

well i was a vegetarian for almost 7 years when i was younger... (not now though) and the reason i quit eating meat is because i found out what it was and the thought of eating an animals muscles and *** really grossed me out... lol

just because you are capable of killing something/someone does not mean you should.

does that not make sense to you????

you are supporting animal cruelty when you eat meat, not just death but torture and inhumane living conditions.

We are very intelligent creatures...most of us anyways. We know that both vegetarian and vegan diets can satisfy our nutritional needs, even if we ARE capable of eating meat. (Our diets should be based on plant foods, whether we eat meat or not, by the way.) Since we can thrive on a vegetarian/vegan diet, people only continue to eat meat because of their selfishness. The majority of animals that we eat are tortured. There is absolutely no other way to put it. Some may like the taste of flesh, but our momentary pleasure is not worth their immense suffering.

You're not at the top of the food chain, cannibals are.Anyways,a lion would kick your @rse!

People go vegetarian for so many different reasons. Some people go veg to lose weight, others to become healthier, and some because they don't believe animal cruelty is right.
There are many reasons, and alot of people don't research why they should or shouldn't eat meat.
Yes, to some people, meat tasted good, but it's not the best choice, and through thinking and analyzing, it might not be so appealing anymore.
Go on the net, do some research! Have a nice day!
