Do you wear leather?!

Question:

Do you wear leather?

Answers:
I'm a vegetarian, and sometimes it is just too hard to find shoes without leather that fit. I would never buy a leather jacket - I hate the smell.

no

No, I don't like the look, smell, feeling of it...

I have a leather skirt, but I never wear it. But not because it's leather. I just haven't worn it yet. I'm not a vegetarian or vegan so I don't know why I answered this question.

Yes, and I eat the cow/pig it comes from, so I think that's O.K., there are lots of farms round here, and the lambs are a lovely site, gambolling around the fields, but they wouldn't be there if the farmer didn't know he could sell them at market for lamb chops..

Sad but true...

M : )

O.K., so you're a Vegan, watch your health , and make sure you get all the vitamins and oils and proteins you need, see below.
( only the other day a woman was on here asking what to do because her husband ( aged 50) was always tired and run down and got ill easily, He had been a Vegan since he was 12.)

I wear and use the leather I owned before become a vegetarian a few years ago. I'm an avid equestrian, and my saddles, bridles, chaps, working boots, western show boots, and belt are leather. However, I've replaced several items with synthetics already, and I plan to keep going until I own no leather. My everyday clothing and things--wallet, belt, shoes, etc--are all non-leather.
I do feel guilty using my last few leather items, but I refuse to buy more and I guess it's better to use the leather than to waste it. I stop and think "Yes, a cow died for this." when I'm putting on my shoes or mounting my horse, but I also remind myself that throwing out the leather would be wasteful and make the animal's death even more senseless.

no

NO!

No. But I wear fake leather. Real leather is cruel.

NO!!!

I have one item. A watch with a leather band.

I bought it before I became vegetarian and before I started the working towards the lifestyle of a vegan.

When it comes time to replace the watch... I will not purchase another leather one...

I just can't see tossing it out... that seems more disrespectful to me.

Not usually. I personally have never really liked it that much even when I wasn't a vegetarian. Same with fur too.

i do free throw away leather....i do not buy it, i prefer to not have it ....on or otherwise, but because i obtain all that i have for free when i am able to....i only own one pair of shoes at a time, and when they die, if the next pair i get from the free table/store, or handerdown is leather, i will not say no.....vegans hate me if you dare, but i am a non paying consumer....i live on others "waste".....so that i can do less to waste......i am doing what i feel is right.....getting free would be throw away leather is better than buying the production of anything.....synthetic or not

no... wearing skin doesn't exactly appeal to me.
