Vegan with a big problem!!!?!

Question:

Vegan with a big problem!!!?

Our school is going on a cruise ship for a day this wednesday for like an end of year party/dance. They are not serving anything vegan and I can't go a whole day without eating! What should I do?

Answers:
TELL them that you are going to bring a lunch(whether they like it or not :)
You deserve the right to bring your own food if they are not going to provide you with any...
So just pack some good stuff for yourself.

ask if you can bring your own food or just pack it...may seem odd, but I've done both before...

pack a lunch...why dont they have stuff like fruit, or something???

Pack a lunch. Bring some fruit. Granola bars. Crackers. Etc.

Pack a lunch of your favorites. Plus, I am sure they will have vegetables available. Usually parties have fruit and vegetable trays. But to be on the safe side, pack youself some food and ask them to keep it in the kitchen for you until you are ready to eat.

Call ahead, ask them to prepare a vegan meal for you. You might have to explain and you might end up with a plate of steamed veggies but most places will accommodate you.

that sucks!!!!!!!!!
there isnt a way to ask for some to be added to the menu is there? or at least some veggies and pasta salad.
or you might have to carry yours on board with you
hate for you to not go. but i would ask the person in charge if they could add to the menu or if you could bring something because you dont eat the types of food added and they should have made the list up of everything everyone would eat.

Ask the people in charge before hand they should acomadate you. I've been in simular situations before or pack food in small cooler. But I,m sure they can make you something there is every food in the world to eat on those ships the food is awesome. Fellow vegetarian . Call ship before hand .good luck have fun

Big bag of trail mix. Almonds, peanuts, dried cranberries etc. For dinner entree, if you are too cool for your own good, you could bring a single serving container of soymilk with granola. Request a bowl. There might be salad, but don't count on it. Trail mix fits in your pockets if you are shy...

I would talk to whoever is in charge, often times they will accomidate your needs, all you have to do is ask. They may not have vegan items on the menu, but they will prepare if you ask.

Otherwise bring your own food in a cooler and have whoever is running the cruise party to place it in the kitchen for you until you need it.

They must have some vegetables or fruit. And if they don't that's really really strange. You can always ask for salad without any meat or cheese (with vinagarette or no dressing).
Do try to bring food along. IIf you can bring a small ice chest at least with some soy drinks, veggies, and some tofu. Maybe a jar of peanut butter and some protein or power bars.
If you can't, you could always talk to the people who run the cruise and explain your situation. I'm sure that they would want to help the passengers have a nice trip.
I wish you the best of luck!!!

This is when Alladin Sane's facial expression is so appropriate.

Listen to the woman, and bring your own food.

Take meal replacement bars with you.
