Vegetarian websites--why don't they help me become a vegetarian?!

Question:

Vegetarian websites--why don't they help me become a vegetarian?

I've been trying to become vegetarian. However, the majority of the information on the sites I've found is about "why" to become a vegetarian, but not "how". They may have a handful of recipes and some brief nutrition information, but not enough to really get me going.

What I want: LOTS of recipes, how to get the protein I need, recommended weekly menus, substitutions, etc. Where can I find this information online?

try it, i love this site!!

only you can make yourself became a vegetarian or vegan. you also have to decide what type of vegetarian you want to be.are you going to continue to eat fish, or will you eat eggs, no dairy. you have to be committed and realize what you need to substitute the protein that you will no longer be receiving fro meat

How do you become a vegetarian? Stop eating meat, It's that simple.

How do you become a vegan? Stop eating all things which come from an animal and do not wear clothing or anything else from an animal.

That is how, the main reason is to see why you would wish to do that and it's a good thing to do because of all the great reasons. Your health, environment, fellow animals, morals.

^^; Once you find out why it's not hard to go vegetarian/vegan.

Good luck!

There are different types of Vegetarianism. NO TRUE vegetarian eats any animal flesh (animal flesh includes fish and chicken!). If you eat eggs and dairy you are a Lacto-ova Vegetarian. If you do not eat eggs but still eat dairy you are a Lacto Vegetarian. You can follow the following to help you get started.

Eggs- Great source of protein- but keep to the regular amount per week as your body can only consume so much.
Legumes- Beans etc are a great source of protein
Tofu- great meat substitute.
Keep in mind if you eat dairy with Renate (animal fat) then you are not a true vegetarian. If you eat jelly with Gelatin again you are not a true vegetarian.

You should go once to a natropath or dietitian to get all the information you need on your body requirements. Everyone is different.
