Which vitamins will I be missing if I stop eating meat?

I'm not very fond of eating meat, and sometimes I find myself not eating any at all. It's not because of the cruelty of animals even though that is sad, but because I don't like the taste or thought of eating something that was alive. Fish, turkey, and roast beef are pretty much the only meats I like. Will I be missing out on certain nutrients if I don't eat meat very often?

Meat protein contains the complete amino acids your body needs. Plant proteins are incomplete so if you cut out meat, you need to eat plant proteins in combinations, such as beans and rice, to get complete proteins for the amino acids your body has to have. Most people only need 20- 40 grams of protein a day. Anything over that is excreted.
Eggs are great protein sources and egg white is almost pure protein. Peanut butter (peanuts are actually another legume, a bean) is also an excellent source, especially with whole grain bread.
The best thing is to eat a balance diet and not rely on supplements. Protein powder is a bunch of hype. It is an expensive blend of dried egg white and whey with flavorings, preservatives, and a bunch of junk I would not want in my body!

You do not need to eat any meat to get all the nutrients you need. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

Only proteins at most. U can always substitute with fishes and other product. meat is good as it provide white meat. beef is known as red meat which you can end up with a mounting cholesterol. Its wise to only eat considerably.

protein is what u will be missing most. to get extra protein eat things like beens, and any thing that has soy. i think they make some soy chip now that is high in protein, try something like that. but other than protein, i dont think you'll be missing much. good luck!

Protein is the most important thing you need. If you do not
like meat, eat nuts, eggs, cheese, beans(legumes), and milk.

If you skip the meat, you have to be extremely careful to get enough protein and vitamins. It'll take time and effort to educate yourself, but truthfully, most vegetarians don't bother with to do so.

Your body will use the amino acids to make protein.

Vitamin B12 is made in your gut - you don't need to eat meat to help your gut to make it. You can take a supplement instead.
