Question for all the new vegetarians and vegans....?!
Question for all the new vegetarians and vegans....?
I just wanted to get all the new vegetarians and vegans input on their journey. I just got a congratulations from PETA that I have been a veggie for a month, and it felt great. What have you experience or encountered when you first started your new vegetarian or vegan lifestyle? What was the hardest part of the transition? What were some great products that helped make the transition easier?

Okay...... my meat eating friends! Your not answering my question because your not a new vegetarian or vegan, so why waste my time, and show me just how much time you have for BS.

No one is stereotyping, loosen the stick buddy. I am sharing my experience in my question. I'm glad you have another reason to become a vegetarian. I would suggest reading questions more attentively.

The Big G put meat on babies, but certainly they're not for eating.
Congratulations on your "Pledge to go veg." Kudos!
What did I experience? Happiness, because I knew I chose the right way. I do believe that veganism is the right way for all and not just some, but it's a decision that everyone must privately make. We were physiologically designed to be vegans, so of course everyone should be a vegan. Again, this is a sensitive subject, and I never tell people "You HAVE to become veg!" because it's a personal decision.
What else? I felt happier, because I knew I was doing something wonderful for animals and the Earth! I also added lots more veggies to my meals, so this got me into a good mood too. Not to mention, I feel more vibrant when I eat healthy.
Problems? Not really, 'cause there are so many products out there now for vegans, that I found it to be an easier-than-expected transition. Actually it wasn't a transition as in metamorphosis, it was instant. Vegan products (mock meat, soy milk, dark chocolate, etc) make it very easy. Also, when eating out, I find that at most places, I can have a tasty meal. if there isn't a meal on the menu that looks "safe" then I order off the menu. I mean, how hard is it to find veggies and rice or a baked potato at any given restaurant?
I did get a STUPID question, though. Someone actually asked, "Can you eat oatmeal?" I said yes, it's a plant, and was thinking, "A-DUHHHHHHH!!!!!"
y be a vedgetarian??
...God put animals on the earth for us to eath them....
Sometimes it is good but not! I don't Konw
If the Big G didn't want us to eat animals, then why did the Big G make them with meat??
I have been off and on vegitarianism for years. The hardest part has been because, I like meat. Alas, I know that its not politically correct.
no not for me I just stopped eating meat. When I stopped eating meat I felt more like I have more energy and I was more happy.Peta.com and there are lots of other sites too has some great things. Also ask this question in vegan/vegetarian section u will get more answers

this is my 10th day as a vegan and I feel great! I am is such good moods lately. I have a better attitude and I feel inside and outside healthier! This may be the best decision I've ever made in my entire life! I just regret one thing.........
That I wish I was a vegan ALL my life!
Veggie burgers are just great and very filling. Also almonds and other types of nuts. Whole grain pita bread goes great with a salad, and soy sausage links. A juicer is great so you can whip up a fruit cocktail juice in no time. I also use a veggie oil salad dressing which is made totally of Omega 3-6-9 oils with no fish oil in it! Its great for people who don't like fish but we all still need our Omega 369 oils on a daily basis. I get it over the internet at http://www.enivamembers.com/188138... I also use Nakano rice vinegar, which has zero carbs, zero calories and almost zero everything else hahahahaha
I also drink Soy Milk, any type... Comes in vanilla or chocolate flavors also. I use the vanilla soy milk with my morning cereal from the company, Bear Naked... Yummy!
Awww... It's wonderful we should have more people take pride in thier goals. Thier aren't many of you out there... This is kind of been my whole life.... well, at least since I found out I have food allergies... lol
If, I eat meat I usually break out in rashes on my chest and arms and legs at the creases and it hurts... My respiratory sytem can shut down and sometimes have to be hospitalized... Or react like food poisoning and breakout and puke all my electolytes until it just bile... Sorry, for all the details
Anyways I love to see new vegans who take pride and do it for themselves and how they feel with thier choice..
-Good Luck in the future...
O' yes and be sure to check up on your protein levels and be substituting other meals to get nutrients you lack.. hard at first but gets some getting used to...
Too bad I never went through craves or stuff like that b/c I just can't eat meat.... My body goes into shock. lol
Once again Good Luck!!!!
Happy for you!!
:)
Awww, congratulations!
(hugs)
Aren't you glad you don't sound like those first few answerers anymore?... If you ever did of course. But it is funny to think that at some point or another we did have such horribly sad logic.
Good for you. Fake meats, tofu and Chinese food helped me out a lot. The hardest part of my transition was that I grew up on meat. Meat was considered food and all else was a side dish, eaten in very small portions.
:)
i've been a vegetarian for 4years now. hurray! hehe. it feels good. what set us apart from animals is that we have options. i choose to be a vegetarian cause i love animals. how can you justify loving animals if you eat them?
everyone should know that not all vegans or vegetarians became vegan or vegetarians because of PETA or other cruelty issues. Some became vegans because of health issues or religion issues that don't have anything to do with PETA. Don't assume all vegetarians are the same as you. That would be stereotyping, which is done by a lot of meat eaters.
well i decieded to be a vegan when i was 13. I am 15 now.
The hardest part was my family and boyfriend.
They both ate meat. My family would shove meat in my face and try to get me to eat it my uncle actually tricked me into eating a beef eggroll they told me it was rediculous. I didnt care. But my boyfriend offered to turn veggie. I told him not to cuz it wasnt the right reason, he wanted to to make me happy but truley i didnt really care. When we would get into fights he would be like go eat some (blanking) meat. And stupid stuff like that or i would ask him what he was eating he would say mmmmmm sauage pizza mmm meat so it was discouraging. I told myself just because not all people are vegitarians doesnt mean i shouldnt be. I am not trying to get everyone to not eat meat so why is everyone trying to get me to eat meat. i dont understand that but dont let the negitiveiey get you down. You are doing something that you belive in so keep on.
And may i ask what made you want to be a veggitarian?
VEGGIE PRIDE! we are making a difference! not only r we helping the innocent animals who dont deserve to live there sad lives in terrible conditions found in factroy farms, or to be brutally murdered...but we are also helping ourselves eating healthy and putting only good, things in our bodys which will give oxygen to our cells which will help us look and feel better!
