Question:

I need lots of help?

i am really new to this whole vegetarian thing i need recipes and will i still be vegetarian if i eat geletan like jello or gummy bears

Answers:
Sorry, but gelatin is not vegetarian. It's extracted from the collagen in animals' connective tissue. There is veggie jello though, so you don't have to give it up! Check out these sites for info:

gelatin - have protein in it, so if your going vegetarian, then I recommend not eating it, though I am curious as to why the change

its ok to eat gummy bears and jello of you are veggie but vegan is different you would need to check deeper to make sure on that stuff

gelitine is an animal product, particularly a meat by product,if you eat gelitine you are not truely vegitarian. there are options, fruit pectin, agar agar etc.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, mix avocados, onions, and garlic salt.
Arrange corn tortillas in a single layer on a large baking sheet, and place in the preheated oven 2 to 5 minutes, until heated through.
Spread tortillas with the avocado mixture. Garnish with cilantro and sprinkle with jalapeno pepper sauce.

Go to www.goveg.com and they have a bunch of recipes (sp) And yes you will still be a vegitarian if you eat gummy bears and stuff as long as you don't eat meat. You can still drink milk and eat cheese and stuff too.

Sorry, Jello and Gummy Bears contain gelatin which is an animal by-product.

Gelatin is not vegetarian, because it comes from cow hooves.

In my opinion, you can't call yourself a vegetarian if you eat gelatin. There is no vegetarian that eats anything causing an animal's death.

Just get the Veggie Jello Or Vegan Gelatin these are made from plant sources. It's available at many Healthfood stores!
