I'm a vegetarian but i want to know if mlik is ok for me to consume?!

Question:

I'm a vegetarian but i want to know if mlik is ok for me to consume?

Answers:
It is entirely up to you.
And depends on the reasons that you want to become a vegetarian...
Generally people, who consider themselves vegetarians, do drink milk... The word would be lacto vegetarian... and if you consumed both eggs and milk ... lacto- ovo vegetarian.
And people that consider themselves vegan don’t consume milk/ eggs/ animal products.
But it is completely up to you... If you are a vegetarian for health reasons and you want to drink milk once in a while... that would be fine... and you would still be a vegetarian.
But if you are a vegetarian for ethical reasons, I would suggest that you give up the milk... Because even though the cow doesn't have to die to make milk... if you bought milk, you would still be supporting the dairy industry and all the cruelty that results from it...
Same with eggs... even though the chicken doesn't have to die... They are still tortured...and imprisoned in horrible conditions just so someone can have an omelet.
So it's up to you.
One thing though if you decide to give up milk... You don't just want to jump into giving it up... you will want to do some research about nutrition first. Like how you can get the nutrients that you will no longer be getting from milk. Maybe look for a vegan friendly doctor.
I'll give you some links about dairy cows... and some vegetarian nutrition sites...
Also, instead of cow's milk, you can use soymilk/ rice milk/ nut milk in pretty much anything... same with eggs... you can substitute it pretty easily in most recipes.

Being a vegitarian is not about a having a lable its about doing what you think is right for the enviroment and for your body.

There are more than one type of veg., if you drink milk you'd be called a lactic vegetarian, if you also eat eggs it's ovo-lactic, and if you eat no animal products in any way (except the occasional miscroscopic mite that you swallow in your sleep) then you're a vegan.

How OK is it to drink milk? Depends on your own needs and attitudes. Do you think it abuses cattle to raise them in sedentary lifestyles and to induce an un-natural permanent state of lactation? Are you lactose intolerant? Do you find soy milk/cream/cheese/ice cream to be satisfying?

You will find your own answers.

Unless you decide to follow a Vegan diet (which excludes all dairy produce as well as animal produce), then you are ok to drink milk.

Are you sure you're a vegetarian?

Become a vegan!

it is up to you, if you want to be vegan then no it isn't, vegans choose to eat nothing that is derived from an animal, no fish, no dairy, no eggs. It is up to you how far you wish to carry it, after all it is just a personal choice, you can eat whatever you want. If you are asking for health reasons, then yes drink milk, eat meat, fish cheese eggs, they are all good for you.

Its perfectly fine ... You need milk and cows need to be milk dont eat meat if you dont want to but yes you can drink milk!

It depends on what kind of vegetarian you are. There are many vegetarians who drink and eat dairy products. Vegetarians who are vegan do not eat meat or consume any by-products of animals.

Many vegetarians drink milk. Beware of commercial milk, though. It contains steroids, growth hormones, antibiotics, etc. Try to find a local farm that sells raw milk, or at least organic. The commercial stuff is loaded with nasty things, and has been heat treated to the point that nutritionally, it lacks everything it would have in its raw form, so those nutrients are added in synthetically. The vitamin D in commercial milk is a steroid.

of course its ok for you to drink milk. i am also a vegetarian and i drink milk because i like it. if you like it there is no reason to give it up. you're almost asking if its ok as if you need approval for something you will be providing to your own body. who cares if other people think its ok or not... its up to you.

Soy milk is, but if you are not a vegan maybe you can drink regular milk

To me, it is not enough to say I will eat no animal products, that does not cut it for me. There has to be good reason to do the things that I do, Biblical reason. A plant based diet was chosen for our first parents in the beginning (read Gen 1-2), and it was not until the flood came that man was allowed to eat flesh foods for one can not grow a garden in a flood (read Gen 7 and 9). I have an obligation because I am the Lord's purchase, purchased by the blood of Christ, to glorify God in my body which is supposed to be the temple of the Holy Spirit. "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Co 10:31. The question on if I should eat something is if it will glorify God to eat of it. If I know something is harmful to eat, then would I be glorifying God to eat of it? Milk, scientifically has been proven to be against us, as far as healthwise because of the disease that is so prevalent in cows, therefore, it is my duty to abstain from it. Christ should be our first and last, and He has promised that any who honor Him, shall He honor.
