Can vegetarians eat whipped cream or icecream...??!

Question:

Can vegetarians eat whipped cream or icecream...??

Answers:
Yes... for the most part. Vegans would not eat either unless in the form of a vegan substitute.

I've found that some ice creams have gelatin in them though (rocky road and others with marshmallows) so I don't eat those ones.

Are you high?

soy-based probably

Yes - it's VEGAN's that don't.

Yes its not meat

Sure it is mostly milk/cream and sugar.
There's no meat in it.

Would you mind answering this please.

Dammit NO....there are LAWS against this

Yeah and then no!

it's not meat ,don't see why not.

Vegetarians can have whipped cream and ice cream. However, vegans cannot, since they are both dairy products.

ASK YOURSELF...

WHERE IS THE LOVE?

Generally yes, unless they are vegans who eat no animal products at all.

Only if they are into violence.

it depends on how strict they are about it, if they dont do dairy then no, obviously, if its just meat then yes

of course, but veagans cannot

Yes, they can have milk and milk product, i am a vegetarian too and believe me.

Yep!! There's ice cream and whipped cream out there that are non-dairy. But they're not easy to find, usually.

Sounds like you're having second thoughts about that vegetarian thing.

nope

Vegetarians can eat whatever they want depending on their beliefs. Some do not count animal products as meat. Animal products would be like milk and second-hand things derived from our animal friends. Some do not count fish as meat. Vegans are the ones who're all no animal products or anything. Are you wanting to turn veg. but basing it on your ability to eat ice cream? o.O It's all about personal choice. Go find some books on vegetarianism the healthy way at your local library.

vegans won't...it depends on the person and their preferences. Ovo-Lacto's eat eggs and dairy, vegans only eat foods made from plant matter...

yes, I'm vegetarian and I eat dairy products.

There are different types of vegetarians.

Vegans dont eat any dairy or meat products.

But some vegetarians do...

Just depends on what kind you are.

If you eat any type of meat...then you arnt a vegetarian.
Say, if you just dont eat red meat.....but you eatch fish and/or chicken...

Then you just dont eat red meat, but you're not a vegetarian.

Dairy is optional to some types of vegetarian diets.

No since that is a dairy product, and according the rules of NVA, National Vegetarian Association, that is strictly prohibited and will be condemned and be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

yes

Yes--- just as long as you don't eat eggs

yes its only milk..and water if your a began no if your a vegetarian sure go for it!

only if it is non dairy or soy based.

Vegetarians can still eat dairy or egg products, but Vegans dont eat either.

Ice cream is usually vegetarian unless it contains marshmellows (which contain gelatin.)

Whipped cream from the store will usually be vegetarian. Restaurant/homemade whipped cream will often have gelatin in it (aka "stabilized whipped cream.")

Gelatin is definitely not vegetarian (though many vegetarians remain unaware.)
