ease yourself into it. i handle being a vegetarian very well because i never really liked meat to begin with, so it suits me.

ah, well stay away from the smell and sight of chicken (and people eating it, lol) for a long time, and then you'll get use to it and will be able to live without it. focus on other foods that you enjoy minus the chicken. you'll learn to become creative with your food and may even try some new foods you thought you'd never like!

Wow that hard core the best advice i could tell you is dont do it !!!

PETA has a free starter kit and recipies

O i know its hard! tip: think about the poor animal any time you see the chicken/steak. Try Morning Star or Boca fake bacon, sausages, steak strips, chicken strips, sausage crumbles and use in ur usual recipes. Also good are portabella mushroom sandwiches, cooked in oil, garlic, and some bbq sauce. Hindu indian recipes offer some yummy veggie dishes too

Really, Chicken is the only meat you like?

Then it shouldn't be that hard. Some people I know become vegetarians by declaring chicken and fish to be rootless vegetables.

But if you really want to kick the chicken habit, try some of the chicken flavored glutton substitutes. Some are very good, If you don't like the first one you try don't give up because there are a lot of different kinds. Big supermarkets have some but some of the best are at Chinese grocery stores if you live close enough to one.

Good luck,
.

If you can see meat for what it really is and understand how disgusting, unnatural and cruel the meat industry is then it is easier to shrink away from meat. I've been a vegetarian for 5 years now and I can't fathom eating meat anymore. There are plently of books out with vegan and vegetarian recipes, and you will find it doesn't take to long to adjust if your heart is in it.

Oh i feel for you, i know exactly what you're going through. I havent had any meat or fish for like 6 months now, but it was really hard in the beginning. It still is, every now and then. I quit buying/eating meat because i cant stand bio-industry and i feel a lot of empathy for those poor animals. I dont think i'll ever be able to stuff meat in my mouth, ever again.

Anyway, this is what i do when i have this urge to eat meat:
I think of a huge barn with thousands and thousands of chickens locked in it, waiting to be deported to the slaughterhouse. Animals who never even saw the sunlight or know the feeling of wind floathing through their feathers!!!

Seriously, just thát thought keeps me going! It can be so hard to change your eatting pattern, especially if you ate/eat meat on a daily bases. Try to stay away from the smell of meat and think of that barn!!!

You can do it, good luck and thumbs up! ;)

Congratulations, you have just taken the first step towards becoming a better person. Or a normal person, at least. Eating meat is unnatural and completely pointless. By just eating rice and beans you already have the same proteins you'd get from meat.
