Faux meat?!
Faux meat?
Are there any other veges out there who can't eat faux meat? Well meaning guests often offer me fake hot-dogs, burgers and chicken, but I feel like they're too much like the real thing. I suppose it's a little bit of a case of classical conditioning.
How do I politely say to someone that I don't eat meat or anything that resembles it?
Answers:
Tell them that you prefer less processed foods, of any kind. Even if thats part of the truth it's still enough I think. Or that you prefer the natural grains, fruits and veggies.
Nan, eating meat is linked to many of our medical conditions and ailments. Heart disease and colon cancer primarily. Without consuming animal flesh and their body's byproducts (dairy) we have no way to overload ourselves with cholesterol other then the healthy levels we should each have.

I personally can't stand the taste of faux meat.
Just be polite and say that you prefer to just stick with the real veggies and fruits.
Just tell them.
It is hard for me to understand why someone doesn't eat meat, it's just food like any other.
Unless there is some medical reason it seems foolish.
I suppose it is like offering a cigarette smoker who is quitting a candy cigarette...
