Question:

If i go to the Military/Navy will i be able to eat vegan?

Like what kind of foods do they have to eat that are vegan?

Answers:
The military has plenty of Vegetarian MREs. We even have some new MREs that are Halal and Kosher.

10+ years in the military.

Kinda ironic that you don't want to kill animals but wouldn't mind knocking off some other people!

Unless you are going to be a nurse or chef or something like that, in that case forget what I said.

You eat what they give you and you like it. Its the military, the'll make you do 500 push-ups for less than that

Military does the whole Vegetarian thing now and has done for a while, does other types to foods as well.

Everyone seems to be answering this questions for vegetarians, and as I'm sure you know, vegetarian and vegan are two different things.

But basically, I would imagine that if the military can work with vegetarian or kosher diets, they can work with vegan as well.

Your best bet would be to ask a military recruiter.

After being on a navy ship while underway, I can truthfully say that being vegan while in the military and not at the comfort of your own kitchen will be a very bad, malnourished idea! They think of health food as a bunch of white rice pilaf -made with chicken broth sometimes(and their cooking methods are pretty bad also- oh I cranked and know things). Even drinking that milk (obviously vegetarian) would be disgusting (never did that and would never want to). So if you take veganism seriously, the military is not for you. I say military, because everyone gets deployed (on land and on sea for at least 6 months in a normal roatation) which takes you away from controlling what you eat and drops you with very few choices. And you can ask a recruiter all you want, but they're gonna tell you what they think you want to hear so that you sign immediately!

Lets get some thing strait here, you will be the Cow and Iraq will be the human.
