:S

Answers:
It isn't usually because they sometimes use The marrow from inside an animals bone or from the hooves to make the jelly set hard. It will say on the wrapper if the jelly is suitable for vegetarians. Sometimes they use plant extract from plants such as seaweed.

I seem to remember that 'Hartley's Orange Jelly' is suitable though. But I'm not certain so i would check if i were you.

When you buy food you should check the ingredients for a substance called ' gelatine' this is what vegetarians avoid as well as meat. If you eat Haribo i would stop because they are never vegetarian.

As long as the producers don't put anything gelantious in it from a meat product. Now most gelatins (Jell-o) is made from the meat gelatin. Then one would need to purchase a kosher gelatin.

You're asking about jelly and jams. There are no animal products in the making of those products.

Check the ingredient list. If it says gelatin then it is not ok. If it says fruit pectin, you are ok.
