What is the purpose of Glycerine ?
Answers:
Glycerine can be used as a stabilizer in food, medicine and healthcare products. Or as a filler. Or as a conditioner for foods. Just depends on where it's being used, but I'd say its safe to say at least half of all processed food products we use and close to 3/4 of beauty products like soap or body wash use it. Some are vegetable based, some are tallow (animal fat) based.
"Because of its unique set of physical properties, glycerine has been and is used in a very broad range of products. Primary applications include foods, pharmaceuticals, personal care products and polyurethane polyols."

Vegetable glycerin can be used as a sweetener to replace honey or sugar.
Glycerine is a sweet tasting substance, obtainable from any pharmacy. You mix one table spoon of glycerine in a glass of water and add a dash of lemonade (to improve taste). It is not recognized by the pancreas and does not produce excess insulin. It is slowly converted to glucose in the liver and will stop the sugar cravings. It will also normalize the stress hormones and may help in having a normal sleep.
Glycerine is not metabolized like sugar. It is converted to glucose via the liver and released slowly into the blood stream. It bypasses the pancreas. Thereby you can avoid the the extreme peaks of insulin secretions, which trigger the ups and down of prediabetic insulin resistance. It regulates the secretion of stress hormones.
