Where can you buy vegetable glycerin?
Hi, all! Trying to make my own moisturizer, and I'm brand-new to this. I live in a pretty rural area... and when i try to find info on the net, all I get is pages of shopping ads for products that have vegetable glycerin in them, but not the actual pure glycerin.

Glycerin is a byproduct of the soap-making process. If the soap was made using all plant-based oils, it will be labeled vegetable glycerin. You can usually find it in any grocery store. It will be in the first aid section. Just make sure it says vegetable glycerin on the label somewhere, or it may have come from soap made using tallow or other animal fats. You could also look on websites that sell lotion-making and soap-making supplies.
