Are there any foods that contain meat, that u wouldnt think do?

i'm curious. because i wouldnt tink somethings do, but the whole thing with the MARS company. and my friend telling me about starbursts containing gluten(sp?)

Answers:
Gelatin (not gluten - gluten is from wheat or rice, etc) is in a LOT of things including many gummi/chewy candies, marshmallows, many yogurts (most national brands), some ice creams (mostly due to the marshmallows, like in rocky road), many frosted cereals, etc.

Carmine is another yuk ingredient in a lot of things. Also known as Red 40 Lake (I think), it's the red coloring in many pink/red products from yogurt to lip gloss. It's made from crushing a particular beetle. YUK.

Oh yeah, and rennet (often called simply "enzymes") in cheese. It's an enzyme from a calf's intestine. TASTY. (I can't believe the things they put in our food - and 99% of people are totally unaware!!). Tillamook is the only national brand I know of that specifies on the packaging that they do NOT use animal rennet (there is a vegetable alternative, but most places either don't use it, or don't state that they do).

marshmellow

It's gelatin, not gluten.Gelatin is boiled animal bones and skin.It is found in skittles, starbursts, marshmellows, alot of aspirine capsules, etc.naturl falvor usually isn't vegetarian either, natural flavor can mean anything, including meat.Cheese made with animal rennet is not vegetarian either.Stay away from glycerine also,it is animal fat.
