Question???????

Hi. I eat meat every single day, and i don't get fat. i heard that meat is one of the food groups that makes you gain weight, but i never do. i get like a double cheeseburger at mcdonalds about a couple of times a month, and then i would eat like a beef jerky at lunch, at night i would have some steak or chicken or whatever my rents cook. And another question, should i feel guilty for eating meat because i can't stay away from it?

Answers:
your diet sounds very unhealthy + alot of people seem to ignore the fact that the animals suffer big time and there fed on drugs and other nasty things to help them gain weight. think of this the next time your eating your cheeseburger

you should feel guilty for being addicted! you should also know that alot of energy and waste goes into every gram of meat you eat. There are many reasons for you to at least to cut back.

as for getting fat, everyone has different metabolisms.

Eat meat. It's not what you eat, it's what your body does with it. Meat is not bad. Just make sure to get some roughage.

Individuals have different metabolisms, which is why you may be able to eat so much meat, but someone else would not be able to.
Protein is good and meat provides a lot of that, but it also often provides a lot of fat, cholesterol, and hormones that are injected in the animals. You are not a bad person for eating meat, but you may want to consider what goes in to the process of bringing meat to the table. This includes pollution, abuse, dangerous additives (hormones), waste, etc.

Meat is good. Real meat, that is, not that McDonald's crap. Steak, chicken, very good for you, lots of protein. Some good fats, too. Try to balance it out with some fruits and veggies, and some dairy products. And of course, breads and grains. You can read all about how much of something you should be eating at the food pyramid guide.

Well you may not gain any weight, but eating fast food is definitely bad for you. Eating meat is up to you. Do your own research.

Even slim people get heart attack and cancer. Anyway, why are you asking others to tell you whether you should feel guilty? You either feel guilt or you dont. If you dont, its a shame, but how can I or anyone here change your mind? Are you looking for information or you just feel like posting how much you love meat in a vegetarian/vegan section? What is your real question?

well, you may have a fast metabolism. all food groups can get you fat just so you know. also, you should feel guilty, go vegetarian

Everyone has different metabolisms. Since you refer to "the rents" I assume you are still young. I miss thoughs days as a teenager when I could sit infront of the tv with a bag of chips and not gain a pound. This will probably pass as you get older, and you won't be able to down a double cheese burger, etc. Enjoy while you can, but be aware the food choices and diet habits we have when young get ingrained in us and are hard to change later.

No one can tell you how to feel. If you feel guilty then you wouldn't eat it. I would be worried about the amount of saturated fat and cholesterol you are getting from all that meat, it the long run it will lead to possible obesity, heart disease, kidney and liver disorder, etc.

No individual food item makes you fat. Meat, eggs, cheese, bread are not fattening - this is a myth.
Eating TOO MUCH of something can be fattening.
Eating LOTS of food WITHOUT exercising can be fattening.
Your body stores fat to use as energy when you need it later. How much it stores depends on many different factors.

I know plenty of people who eat whatever they want in the quantity that they want and have very little body fat - but they also have high metabolisms and are moving non-stop for 12 hours a day. All people do not store fat the same way in the same quantities.

Should you feel guilty? Eating meat is an addiction like any other - it is not very good for you but you feel compelled to do it anyway because of the "pleasure" it gives you. Guilt is the feeling you get when you know what you are doing is wrong - that's all.
