Do I have to invite a vegetarian to the company pig roast?!

Question:

Do I have to invite a vegetarian to the company pig roast?

Even the potato salad has eggs in it.

Answers:
They can bring the alcohol

Make them suffer.

I think that you should invite yourself to the Dentist before you have a pig roast. Until then stick to soup.

i dunno...

I feel sorry for your parents.

LOL

Yea you do. But if that is you in the pic they wont come anyway and they already hate you just based on your ignorant question.

That's really rude to exclude one person based on their eating preferences. And FYI... vegans are the ones who will not eat anything that even comes from an animal - like eggs. Vegetarians are FAR easier to please than a vegan. Unless they just don't like the taste of potato salad, a vegetarian will eat it. Surely you will have other vegetables there with your pork...

you don't have to invite them if you don't want to.... BUT if they promise to bring along some good beer, then insist they come along

First, is this a vegetarian or a vegan? Some vegetarians will consume dairy and fish. However, true vegans will not consume anything that is from any type of animal. Second, if the vegetarian in question is an employee of the company, you have to invite them or you are discriminating against them. Since it's just one person (and most vegetarians I know don't eat all that much anyway), prepare something they can eat. Most importantly, you should check with the vegetarian in question.

It would be unfair to exclude the vegetarian solely because of his or her eating preferences. If you planned the menu to include a wide variety of foods for carnivores, vegetarians and vegans (those who exclude ALL forms of animal products--the flesh, milk and eggs), you should not encounter any problems at all. Possible menu items to satisfy all palates can include but should not be limited to:

Tossed Green Salad

Poi

Baked Beans (flavored with liquid smoke and not pork)

Veggie Dogs or Veggie Burgers

A crudite plate, i.e., raw veggie plate with some sort of dip

Corn on the Cob

Roasted Vegetables (cube some potatoes, slice up some carrots, onions, celery, bell peppers and place in a pan. Sprinkle some garlic powder, thyme, salt and pepper and drizzle some olive or canola oil over it all. Stir veggies to coat with the oil and spices and put in 425 degree oven for 30 minutes. Stir, then bake for 30 minutes more or until potatoes come out tender. Serve and enjoy)

yes and have something that they can eat.

yes, but try to see if there are some other options that the co worker could eat. and, last time i checked, vegetarians could eat eggs. or are they vegan?

I don't think you should because they might get affended

The pig should be the only vegetarian at the pig roast. I love roasted pig.

Yeah, I think so. Could probably use a few sun rays.

IMO...

if the person/vegetarian is your friend/accomplice...

invite him just for formality's sake...
