You have a point though. I guess vegetarianism appeals more to those trend-following scene kids than preps and other cliques. It most likely has something to do with "punk rockers" being stereotypically rebellious, and going against eating animals is rebellious somehow...? "Emoness" and scene kids are like cheap imitations of punk. So of course they're going to join the club.
Because rappers grew up without meat anyway, being dirt poor, so now that they have money they eat cows by the boat load...sheesh.
Not sure about that but many different actors support PETA that dress differently....alot of rappers probably dont care...you here so many rappers rapping about chinchilla and fur...I dunno that may be a stereotype but that is all I can think of....If I rapped I would support them...I dress very nicley and in I would say pretty preppy clothes and I am all for PETA...

"Scene kids" are akin to sheep, in as much as they will follow the general trends of the clique they belong to. If "emo" "musicians" start eating burgers all the time, their cult is sure to fall in line accordingly.
theres plenty of vegetarian rappers. a guy from wu-tang clan is veg (forgot his name) and i saw a video on youtube of another veg rapper. (forgot his name as well haha). Common is veg, so is that weird guy from black eyed peas. Andre 3000 from Outkast is veg as well. they just dont rap about it

Well, as far as I know they didn't have anything to do with peta, but Dead Prez was vegan and they were rappers. Preppy kids have grown up sheltered by their wealthy parents. As far as they're concerned when they want food it just appears on their plates, nevermind how it got there. Kids that are more in to art and music seem to be more sensitive in general and in that case more sensitive to the world around them and are more likely to actually care about what's going on.
