Did My Vegetarian DIET Give Me These UGLY STRETCH MARKS?!

Question:

Did My Vegetarian DIET Give Me These UGLY STRETCH MARKS?

I've noticed that I started getting stretch marks months after i became a vegetarian...which is at 15, i am 16 now and i'm getting More of them on only my legs but ITS EVERYWHERE on my legs, my thighs, my calves, the sides of it, i cant even wear capris becuz it'll show...
IS it because i went vegetarian, i never got stretch marks before until i became vegetarian
and i havent grown in height when i was 15 or now, so i know its no growth spurt, and i'm not even fat

Answers:
this is 100% age related.
Many many people get stretch marks when they go through puberty. It may be related to gaining weight, but some people report getting them for no reason. You don't have to be 'fat' to get them. You just have to grow. A lot of women get them on their boobs - it's just skin stretching.
Stretch marks are not food related, in the sense that no particular kind or type of food causes them.

You can moisturise to help prevent them (or so I am led to believe). I'd probably try a vitamin E cream, or even sorbolene after your bath. Keep your skin healthy - eating leafy greens, drinking water etc. And you should be fine.
They will fade over time, and right now you probably think they look much worse than they really do.
It sucks, but it's all part of growing up.

no

Not that I know of... I've always thought you got stretch marks because your skin stretches too fast... That is why pregnant people get stretch marks...

weight gain is the only thing that can give you stretch marks..maybe you need to see a Dermatologist.

you are going through changes in ur body (puberty). there is nothing wrong with you

You're just at the age where those things tend to come about.

Stretch marks are created by rapid weight loss or weight gain, whether by diet or by exercise.

When I was in my teens and had them, I wasn't vegetarian during that period. They fade in time.

Eating a balanced, extremely healthy diet (no refined garbage (white flours, white breads. white pasta etc or excess sugar) has been linked to improvement in this area. Try joining www.rawfoodtalk.com. A lot of people on there were obese meat eaters, and went raw vegan to lose weight, so I'm sure they may have some advice on stretch marks.

In the meanwhile, keep your skin moisturised and your body well toned.

No, it cant be your veg diet. (many meat eaters got them too!) You're in that age when you're developing, so your skin cant always keep up. (even if you dont notice it!) It can also be that you suddenly lost or gained some weight?

Use body butters after shower on wet skin, (coconut is good) it can at least help to prevent more marks. They will pale after some time. I got some around that age too, it really annoyed me...but now they're hardly visible and dont bother me anymore.

You need to eat good fats like olive, canola and flaxseed oil. That's good for skin too.
